Both doors and barrel fitted in 20 minutes. Couldn’t have been more easier to replace.

My local locksmith wanted $350.00 to rekey my 2 door locks and the ignition. I ordered this hoping it would work, and it was easy to do after I watched a youtube video… Took me less than 35 mins to change them out and they are working great!

Had a GMC W1500 Forward come in and the customer asked for some key copies. Well, the key I got with the truck was a Chrysler key (!) that had been ground down to fit in the locks. All three locks had been rekeyed to fit this Chrysler key. Someone must’ve spent at least 4 hours doing all that. Instead of buying this really inexpensive kit. I’m glad I found this kit, because I would’ve had to spend at least 4 hours re-rekeying, and having to cut a new key of which specification I didn’t know and couldn’t find, because there’s 4 or 5 different Isuzu key types. I wouldn’t have been able to find tumblers or key cutting specs either.
This kit was a life saver. Took me about 30 minutes to change all 3 cylinders.

New cylinder housing would not fit. Had to remove the tumbler and put in old housing. Not a big deal, but a bit of an inconvenience.

I was able to get my ignition tumbler out with no issues. However, when I went to install the new one, the housing of the tumbler would not fit in properly. So, to make this work, I had to disassemble the new one, take out the tumbler, and reinstall it in the housing of my old housing then install in the truck. It wasn’t that big of a problem, but it was definitely not a “drop-in†replacement for my 2001 Isuzu NPR.

First, there were no instructions. I have documented the entire process if anyone needs it. I contacted 4 companies and they quoted me 9-10 hours to do the replacement. If they provided the parts, it would have been an additional 100.00+. This quote was within 10.00 from each of the 4 companies I contacted.
The issues I ran into were that they apparently provided 2 left side tumblers. Luckily I was able to modify the passenger side by using some pieces from my old tumbler/lock cartridge. Also, the lock rod clips were for a thinner rod. Again, I was able to pull the old lock rod clips off and re-use them.
