Installed and worked on my 98 Escort but recently the belt broke and only after about 30k miles after being installed Belts are recommended to be replaced every 100K and this one failed prematurely. Disappointing but did get about 1.5 years on it. Will likely not buy again for this reason though.

    Enjoy life!

Works just as advertised. I would have given it 5 stars but the water pump gasket is very thin and broke before being installed. I was forced to purchase a new one from another vendor. In the defense of this vendor, I did not contact them for a replacement, and their customer service is outstanding, and all of the other parts worked perfectly. So if there was a 4 star plus, I would have given it to them. Thanks

So far so good – used this kit on a 97 Mercury Tracer 2.0 Liter Engine

Best value for the money I could find.

Not a bad job to do, everything fit properly and functioning correctly so far…

All came as described. Began to install had the timing marks off so had to relieve the tension on the tensioner to reset the timing and the cheap plastic tensioner where you put the 8mm Allen wrench in to rounded out. Tensioner is useless now waiting now for a metal center one. This throws me back a couple of days now to get the repairs done very disappointed in the product quality. Would not recommend buying this kit.

Purchased and installed the Timing Kit sometime in July 2022.
Fast Forward: towards the mid-November of 2023, I started to notice some wet spots on the concrete of the driveway, right below the front of the engine. I jacked the car on ramps, and I noticed some red-color drops hanging around the crankshaft vibration dampener. Turned out to be coolant.
Cleaned everything with plenty of brake cleaner and checked again the day after; and then again and again.
No doubt: it is coolant leaking from the Coolant Pump.
The vehicle has been driven only a very few thousand miles since installation and been sitting in the driveway for the last 1/2 year.
Now, as the weather gets colder, it seem to be leaking even more than before.
The other day I removed the serpentine belt and the timing (plastic) cover and I got the confirmation: yes, the coolant pump is leaking at the seal.
Maybe I should of left the OEM coolant pump in place; it never leaked and it never made noise. But I decided to go the preventive-operation way and here is what I got: a failing new part.
Looks that lately the quality of the new parts is going down the drain, fast.
Better keep the old old parts around for quite a while. You may need to use them again!
That is the sad reality: everybody is cutting corners and is looking for the cheapest way to make more money (outsourcing included) and the end-user (that’s us, the consumers) end up swallowing the bitter pill (non-reliability) and end up paying more overall.
