Changed my car battery and realized the hold-down bracket was missing. Was hesitant to order this part, since I figured I’d be returning it with a bad fit. Well it fit exactly and both the bracket and the bolt are well made. Good price, compared to Ebay, with much quicker delivery.

The lock plate (which is the main reason you’ll buy this) fits wonderfully. The included bolt does not, however. It’s too long, wrong thread size and pitch, and the bolt head is even different from OEM. Basically, don’t buy this if you need the hardware as well as the plate.

Bought a mk4 tdi and realized it didn’t have a battery tie down. Bought this and installed it in less than 5 minutes. Fit perfectly my battery is no longer loose

Not much to say, this is pretty much identical to the VW clamp. The bolts threads are the same, but the original bolt has a tapered end to help you start it, that this one doesn’t have. Oh yeah, I dropped the new clamp where the old one is, trying to secure the hard to get at battery. GD Volkswagens! Now I have to take stuff apart. This should work for you though.
