Installed it yesterday. works well and fits tight. Large enough to take off. Installed a one-sided stick-on metal piece on my 25 GMC Sierra plastic fuel lid so magnet had something to stick to.

Looks great and fits my 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 with the 3.0 duramax.
Knocked off 1 star because the magnet isn’t nearly strong enough to hold to anything meaning you have to sit it on your truck bed or tire… which you might forgot and lose it one day.
BUT I really got this incase someone borrows my truck one day its glaringly obvious you need to put diesel and not gas.
EDIT: lol i left it on my tire… self-fulfilling prophecy

This Product Should be a FACTORY Item. The first thing I noticed was how well it fits. The magnet on the back keeps this Diesel Cap Securely in place and the Tight Snug Fit ensures that NO Water can get into your Diesel Tank. Since using this Fuel Cap on my Chevrolet Silverado Duramax Diesel 1500, I have had ZERO WATER I had to drain on my fuel filter water separator. Without a Doubt this is a Must Have for ANYONE owning a GMC or Chevrolet Truck or SUV with a 3.0 Duramax Diesel Engine.

I had ordered a set from Amazon that had both Diesel and DEF caps. The DEF cap worked great, but the Diesel filler cap was way too small and wobbled around inside the neck. I found and ordered this cap and am happy to report that it fits perfectly in a 2017 RAM 3500 Crew Cab. Fit and finish is excellent and the part appears well made and durable.

Feels and looks very well made and machined from a solid block of aluminum. Yes, the seal is tight, but it is supposed to be tight. If not tight it won’t do the job it is designed to do!
For the first time, just applied a little water to the seal, and pushed in one side and then the other. Than removed and did the same. New PU and never had a fill yet except by the manufacture or the dealer. After It will continue to get easier as removed/installed.
IMPORTANT thing is it covers that opening where dust/dirt will collect if driving on gravel/dirt roads. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the fuel system.
Might be old fashioned; but I never had a problem with a fuel fill cover. (The Def has has a screw top cover.)
And being a 2025, it appears all are going this way, and all customers need to cover that darn hole, and this device closes that hole.

The fit and finish of this gas cap is pretty solid, fits into the tank opening but takes a little force to pull back out. The magnet sticks to the door securely as long as you stick it on the metal part of the door (i.e. the hinge, etc. as it didn’t stick too well on the rubber inside the fuel door. This cap is helpful to keep out moisture and debris, good value for the price. I like it!
