I will explain everything as best as possible.
1. Purchased it and it arrived in 2 days
2. I called a mechanic to install them, he did it in 2 hours outside my house.
3. The rotors are not directional because the fins in the front rotors are similar to stock rotors.
4. I chose to put them with the holes and lines going back on all 4 rotors. Like this \
5. I do have a heavy foot, but i take care of my car so they can perform well.
6. I did not use the break fluid or the break cleaner, but it’s great that they come with it.
7. To purchase everything at an autoparts store was going to be over 400 plus install.
8. I think slotted and drilled is an overkill for my 2011 toyota avalon, but the way I drive I always warp my breaks.

Still no noise, no warping and no rust
Two year review
Still breaking great, no noise, no vibrations, no rust. It’s been over 2 years now and around 15K miles driven.
3 year review: after 3 years 23,000 miles the rotors finally warped. The pad still has more than half of the material left. However at high speeds 70 mph and more the vibrations are very noticeable. At normal speeds there are no vibrations. I will change the front rotors only.

This is a great kit. I was surprised they sent the kit with a can of brake clean, brake fluid, and grease for the components as well. Only gripe is the brake clips are all in a single bag. Pay attention to part number so you don’t put the front clips on the back brakes. Overall, good fit, good stopping power and quiet.

Purchased a set of pads and rotors for all 4 wheels from Detroit Axle. Rotors look shiny and top notch, and included was all new caliper hardware as well as a can of brake cleaner and DOT 3 (spec) for my 2009 Lexus ES 350. Excellent value and everything fit well. Brake pads are SILENT ceramic. This is the second set of Detroit Axle brakes I’ve installed (1st was on a 2011 Honda CRV) and I have been very pleased both times. I’ve spent more than TWICE on a PowerStop brake kit (for my diesel truck) and they are way more expensive. Wish I had known about Detroit Axle. Next up is a set a rear calipers from this vendor! I trust the great quality and awesome value will continue. I’m very pleased for the price.

This round of Detroit Axle brakes has been perfect. Can’t say that about all the DA braking products I have used, but this set is working well. Brakes are straight forward to replace… so there isn’t anything spectacular about installation, but the performance and operation has been great. Brakes stop very well, and the pads are wearing perfectly. Rotors are uniformly polished without any hot spots or streaking.
You WILL get the low growl from the rotors due to the slots and holes so if you have never had cross drilled and slotted rotors don’t be alarmed when you hear it… it is normal. They break hard and haven’t noticed any fade. No pulling, no pulsing, no vibration.
Very pleased with this set and would recommend to others. I have used PowerStop full set as well and these are very comparable (at this point 2 months in) to those at about half the price.
