With my family assistance we were able to complete the installation over a total of about 6 hours. They fit a advertised. The front struts actually were easier to install. with more time on the rear struts as we had to dissemble the shelf above the rear seat, remove the speakers in order to access the top mounts. ( Chrysler designers must have had a bad night when they designed that idea ) However, everything want back together without any damage.
I only gave the review 4 stars as the “ride” is somewhat stiffer than what I remember when the auto was newer. Doesn’t cushion the bumps quit as well. Although, compared to the old struts we removed these new ones are 100 % improved. I would recommend these struts unless you are looking for a superior ride which my according to my investigation would cost many hundreds of dollars more.

These struts added a couple more inches of lift to the back of my car. Now my car no longer scrapes the sidewalk when I pull out the driveway or bounce like crazy when I go on bumps. Amazing product, got this for a Dodge Intrepid 2001 3.5L V6.

I don’t like to do negative reviews. But because this almost caused me to have an accident I felt this is to important to not put this out. I actually purchase two sets of these struts for the same vehicle. Reason I had to buy a 2nd set is because when I hit a bump in the road the Driver side strut broke from the top. Purchased a second set to replace the broken one. Just yesterday I hit a small hole, wasn’t huge by any standard but this broke the passenger side one, on the top too. So, I will no longer buy this brand of struts or anything this brand again. There’s no such thing as a perfect road with no holes or bumps and if these struts can’t take it, please buy a better, higher quality brand. You and your families lives and safety depends on it. Lee

Recently overhauled the suspension and steering on my wife’s 02′ Intrepid. These struts were a direct oem replacement and fit great. Only needed slight modification for an alignment, which is pretty standard for any new strut. Have had them installed on the vehicle for the last 1K miles and they ride wonderfully. If you need new struts for your second gen Intrepid, I suggest you buy these.

One of my struts came new with a clunking noise. Last night it completely broke almost causing me to wreck. I bought the set in February and by the next January it blew out. I ended up having to call the company and pay them $50 to ship me a new warranty part. The part itself was covered. Hopefully the new one will make it past a year… Very disappointed and concerned about safety with this company now.
