I got this kit because I needed to replace my front struts and rear shocks and from the description, “Front Struts Rear Shocks Replacement for 1998-2002 Honda Accord – 4pc Set Coil Springs and Shock Absorbers Suspension Kit,” I believed that’s what I would be getting. But this kit only comes with the front struts. After seeing what was in the box I came back here and scrolled down to see that they offered different kits that came with the rear shocks as well. Not sure why it says rear shocks if they’re not included or why they don’t give the different kit options for you to choose from.

I’m not a certified mechanic, but I’ve always worke don my own cars since I was a kid. I am 62 now.
Nice to have a helper when lining up top strut bolts during install. If not carefully look at strut before removing. Look where there is a notch on upper spring plate. Take note of that position of notch. When you do that, lining up the holes by yourself makes it easy. I learned. One side 15 – 20 minutes installing. Just trying to line up holes ..holding strut assembly, turning assembly looking down up down up what a pain. The other side took 5 min after looking for a reference point before starting. Got close to same reference point… and it was 1-2-3..
Do your self a favor and buy the strut and spring fully loaded. Ready to go. Just makes the job easier and faster. Be sure to torque all hardware while simulating a load on strut/spring assembly

Writing this review after a year of use, approximately 7000 miles. Replaced both front struts on a 2000 Honda Accord, they both leaked out within a year. For the effort and PITA installation, a person is better served looking elsewhere for good struts.

good price. fit well.
i was skeptical. but never the less tried them out. and they fit my 99 Honda accord perfectly. they were even indexed in position, which was very nice. indexed meaning i did not have to twist it to fit the location tab.
buying them already to go like this is the only way i will do it from now on. i have switched the springs over using the special tools, and it is a pain in the neck to do. plus it is extremely dangerous. the amount of energy stored in these springs when compressed is enormous. not worth the extra money saved. plus it takes time. with these struts ready to go, i was done in less than an hour for both the front struts.
they also came with new self locking nuts.
i will see how they perform now. this is just my commuter car though and not a hotrod. so i am thinking they will perform just fine.

Just keep track of the right and left strut. They fit on either side on top but are different on bottom. Perfect fit and easy to install.
