This item does not fit my 1996 Jeep Cherokee Country, 4.0 litre. The electrical connector is not the same.
UPDATE
My Cherokee is a late 96 model. It requires the unit for 97 and newer.

Fits 1996 Jeep Cherokee 4.0. Checked temp reading with engine running with temp gun. Then took ohm reading with factory chart. Was in tolerance.

This is for the electric fans. Not for the temperature gauge inside in cluster. Waste of my time and money
as it was advertised for the inside gauge. Totally different thread diameter.

My auxiliary fan would not come on. I replaced the temperature sensor and now it comes on at around 210 F. Problem solved. Didn’t drain any coolant to put on. Just put it on quickly and didn’t loose much coolant during installation.

Works just like it should, the rockauto version would show a higher temp which was inaccurate.
