This Delphi camshaft position sensor was a perfect fit on my 2005 Mini Cooper S. While getting to the sensor is a bit of a pain on these cars, the actual replacement of the original sensor with this new unit was easy. The new sensor was identical and fit perfectly. I didn’t even have to clear the fault codes in my car’s onboard diagnostics computer! I started the car, which now started with no hesitation, and, after running the engine for a minute or so, noticed that the service engine light was no longer on. When I checked for fault codes, there were none!
When looking to purchase this part, I noticed that Amazon had many available options. I chose Delphi because, a) it is a name that I have known for years and, b) although not the cheapest part available, it was a good value and didn’t require a wait for shipment from China. Having only installed it a week ago, I don’t know about its durability, but it seems (so far) to be an excellent replacement part.
