Unfortunately I bought this back in September but mechanic didnt get to it until now and turns out i didnt need it, problem wasnt the pump but an electrical issue. So now im stuck with a pump i dont need

The Delphi HP10127 Fuel Pump and Hanger Assembly with Sending Unit arrived loose with no manufacturer box to protect the sending unit float and rod from jostling around in transit and potential damage would be difficult to determine to the naked eye. The Amazon box was big enough to hold three of these units with the excess space taken up with bubble wrap. There was no embossed Delphi I.D. on top (a white adhesive sticker the size of a dime with model no. was stuck to the top which will not last very long exposed to the elements). I instituted a return but due to scheduling with my mechanic I was forced to gamble that the sending unit was not damaged. The pump works fine but now my fuel gage is inaccurate. My vehicle ( a Ford Econoline 150) requires dropping the fuel tank to replace the fuel pump assembly.

2 years ago my 2003 ford work van engine would crank over but would not start up, unless when i turn the ignition key to the on/off position 2 to 3 times then the engine would start. over time it got worse, sometimes i had to turn the key on/off 4 to 5 times especially after driving the vehicle then one day last week the unthinkable happened as i left a job site for the day and decided to make a stop at the store for a few minutes, returned to my van put the key in and tried to start the engine, the engine would crank over but would not start i turned the key on/off over 5 to 10 times, still would not start so i tried another 5 to 10 times….the engine started so i drove straight to my shop and ordered the Delphi fuel pump assembly, delivery was excellent and fast! The new fuel pump assembly was a perfect OEM fit! bolt holes lined up and came with a new gasket seal and new bolts/washers. I also cleaned the inside of the fuel tank before installing the new fuel pump assembly (be sure to clean the outside area of tank before removing the old fuel pump otherwise dirt and debris will fall inside the fuel tank) the removal of fuel tank and installation project took about 2 hours to complete. i also replaced the fuel filter and a added a couple cans of seaform cleaner with a full tank of gas. So after installation and as soon as i turned the key to the crank position the engine fired right up! A few things that i noticed right away was the gas gauge reading was identical, increased engine horse power very was noticeable, increased gas mileage, transmission seemed to shift smoother and on point. (the transmission took longer to shift to overdrive when speed was needed entering ramps to highways) knowing this now i wished i had replaced the pump few years earlier, probably would have saved lots of $$. In initially wanted to go back with a motorcraft brand because it lasted over 260K miles but the cost was about $350 to $600 dollar range. but i am happy with the Delphi brand and would recommend it i hope it last at least 100k miles.

Worked exactly as needed. I replaced an old fuel pump with it. Installation went as well as swapping an in-tank fuel pump can go. Includes the rubber gasket.
