- Delphi uses winding process techniques to control the length of wire between adjacent windings. That’s important because more length results in greater voltage differences, which in turn create more pressure that could break down the insulation and wire coating.
- Delphi’s ignition coils are engineered to Original Equipment specifications
- Delphi’s ignition coils are designed with proven materials, such as high quality wires and wire coating that resists the cracks, pin holes and imperfections that most often lead to failure issues
- Epoxy vacuum techniques reduce air bubbles in the epoxy, because having fewer air bubbles increases the epoxy’s insulation quality and reduces the chances of energy punch-through failures
- Delphi’s coils are designed and endurance tested to resist the common stresses that cause failure

Seems to be a very good quality coil. Original coil screws on 2012 Fiesta are too short for this coil. I had to buy 4 #10 2 inch long hex washer-head sheet metal screws from a hardware store to mount the coil. There are replacement screws designed for plastic (#10-14) but they are hard to find. The #10 sheet metal screws work fine. Avoid 2 inch self tapping screws because you lose 1/4 inch of thread at the end of the screw.

Ordered this coil and wires for my daughters car. Old one out and the new one side by side you can see it’s a far superior product that had one issue. The mounting holes were over twice as thick as the original ones. Do thr original mounting screws were too short to he able to mount this new coil. Had to head out and get 4 screws from the local hardware store. Took an extra hour and a half due to inconvenience. Nonetheless. Nice product. Just be prepared about this onebas it doesn’t supply new, longer mounting screws.

Product works as designed. One word of caution is that you will need longer screws to attach unit to car (installed on 2013 Ford Fiesta). This unit sits a little higher than the factory unit.
