Doesn’t mean it won’t work for someone else.. but my car didn’t like Delphi fuel pump.

Pump works great after I figured out the new pump is not wired the same as the original.

I initially installed a cheap one in my wife’s Chrysler 300, but that lasted about 5 months before it died, so I eventually replaced it with this one last year and it’s ran perfect since. It’s not the kind of job you want to redo every year, so buy this instead of one of cheap knockoffs. You’ll be glad you did.

Didn’t come with a wiring harness!

This was completely broken when we got it, my brother in law tried to put it back together since we needed our car to run asap and it worked for about 6 weeks and had to buy a new one at our local autozona after that you get what you pay for… We tried to save but end up paying double its not worth it.

I am a dealer technician for chrysler. These LX fuel pumps run over $400 at the dealer. Delphi is a prenium brand and probablu makes the mopar part. For a fraction of the price. All of these fuel pumps require rewiring the connector. Dear God people rewire the connector or its not going to work right. Also do a good job rewiring it. No ceiling fan twist style splices.

General observation: buy this, not some no-name brown box substitute. This is an electrical device that sits in a pool of gasoline. No room for errors here.
The rubber seals on my 2005 Dodge Magnum were starting to leak – causing a fuel smell to enter the cabin. Fearing that I could not remove the rusty retaining ring from the pump without destroying the plastic pump itself, I went for a full replacement of both pumps. Recommendation: buy the freaking tool that you put on your ratchet to remove and install the retaining ring – you will curse your existence trying to remove and install them with a screwdriver! Also, make sure your tank is below 1/4 tank of fuel – these pumps mount on an angle and the driver’s side of the tank retains a lot of fuel even when near empty (the tank is shaped like a saddle and does not empty at the same rate). Also, if replacing both pumps, when you pull these fuel lines out, make sure you tie a wire or string to the end of the lines to feed the new lines back in! You do not want to be up to your elbows with a hand mirror trying to find the tiny passageway that the lines go thru. Lastly, on my pump the wires for the in-tank electrical connectors were a hair short – I solved this by clipping one zip tie on the fuel hose and install was a breeze after that.

This was a great replacement. Fast delivery, half the cost had I bought one locally. It works great! I’ve had it in the car for a couple months now, and it wirks like a charm. Very happy with this purchase.
