I had installed an airtex fuel pump in my Chevy express van a year and a half ago. It was noisy from day one and didn’t seem to provide the required psi for the engine (The pcm was registering lean codes consistently).
After a year and a few months my van started to become difficult to start and the pump started getting louder (wining sound). I replaced it with this Delphi model about a month ago. This Delphi pump is great. Its quiet, provides the appropriate psi and I am confident it will last (no more lean codes). Big difference in quality from non dependable airtex pump.
To top it off the price from Amazon is great!

This pump does not work on this tank it’s to tall won’t compress enough to go in the tank. Second one doesn’t work either?
I was wrong , turns out that the tank was the problem. Vent solenoid was not working. It sucked the tank in 3-4 inches closing off the fuel pump, causing the pump to be to tall. Pressed tank back out and pump works fine.

The picture that is on shown the Amazon site for the fuel pump is not what I received, Amazon should upgrade the picture or remove form site. Delphi sent a note stating the product differences / upgrades RE: no external fuel strainer, now it is internal, two support rods instead of three. different four pin connection in which I had to splice in to the existing wiring harness. The price was right if it was what I thought I was purchasing plus I ordered a AC Delco pump the week before which also had these part differences. The pump fixed the no starting problem only to now have the fuel gauge not work properly……shows a little above empty with a full tank of gas. I will drive for a while until I need more fuel and watch what the gauge does. Also instead of all the hassle of dropping the fuel tank and the laying on the ground looking up, I cut a hatch thru the bed of the van floor for future removal ease…….which might be soon!!

I NEEDED A ELECTRIC IN THE TANK FUEL PUMP..CHECKED ON LINE..EVERY WHERE..SOME BIG PRICES..BIG MARKUPS.I SHOULD SAY..FINALLY OUT OF ALL THE PUMPS.OUT THERE THAT WOULD FIT.I SETTLED ON TWO NAME BRANDS..FOUND THAT AMAZON..WAS THE CHEAPEST..I ORDERED IT..AND IT CAME QUICK…I SAVED OVER A HUNDRED DOLLARS..IT IS A SHAME.THAT THE OTHERS..MARKED UP THE SAME PUMP.AS HIGH AS THEY DID..AMAZON CAME THROUGH AGAIN..I BUY EVERYTHING.THAT I CAN –FROM AMAZON..I HAVE SAVED A LOT OF MONEY..BUYING FROM AMAZON..BUT I DO PRICE COMPARE.WHEN I NEED SOMETHING..THE PUMP CAME WELL BOXED..AND IN ANOTHER BOX.REALLY PACKAGED UP GOOD..THEY REALLY CARED ABOUT GETTING.THE ITEM/PUMP..TO THE CUSTOMER..IN PERFECT..CONDITION..I LIKE THAT..
