Installed on 95 Camaro Z28 and it took care of the MAF signal issue. Clocked it with the sensor horizontal just like factory MAF. Not sure how much that matters but my pcm likes it and it’s easy to plug in this way. Be careful not to over tighten the clamps. Housing is plastic.

Straight out of the box the screen was all jacked up. Didn’t come with an adapter for the OEM 3 prong plug so it couldn’t even be tested. Was going to take it back out so my car would be drivable and it broke into 3 pieces. Buy something better quality.

4 stars because it should have came with the 5 wire harness, and let us cut and solder in factory IAT and MAF it would have looked better. Had a 5 wire but the style plug changed. Seems like it always something. But I guess should be happy, it worked. 98 LS1 in 91-c1500
Downfall –
Works well with my 94 Camaro Z28 but doesn’t fit well in the air duct. It’s too tight.

This works great in my LS1 98 Camaro Z28. I had to replace my original 21 year MAF with 163K miles due to it consistently reading low and throwing off my LTFT. This new Delphi MAF is plastic which doesn’t bother me, it seems well constructed and operates like OEM. Highly recommended.

Offers the same functionality of the original aluminum MAF in a composite form. Good replacement for a worn/defective sensor. Slight upgrade due to lighter weight, but not a priority if your old MAF is nominal.
Interesting note is that this MAF includes a built-in air-temp sensor that won’t function with 4th Gen F-Bodies (hence the adapter). Potential exists to tap into this, thus negating the need for the current sensor, but I’m not aware of any such solutions in the present.

I’ve tried three different sensors in a year and a half period. The first cheap Chinese replica actually worked well for one year. Second unit failed exactly next day after possible return date.
Now I’ve decided to try something better.. Walker is a good reputable name in car parts. And their product is almost twice more expensive than cheap Chinese stuff. Worth trying I thought.. Wrong! This company has been in business manufacturing exhaust systems, mufflers. Precise electronics is not their speciality. But they’re in business first. So they buy cheap Chinese stuff in quantity and sell it under their own brand. Unfortunately, quality and cheap Chinese products rarely come together. So the sensor failed less than a week after installation. (Shame on you, Walker!) All that time engine backfired and took way too much gas until it failed completely and vehicle refused to start and run.
I worked with alarms and car stereos long time ago and I am familiar with Delphi electronics. I always knew that the original part is almost always the best. But I hesitated all this time not just because of a higher price , but because Delphi sensor pictured here is different from the original. Well, there is a perfect explanation that came in the box (image attached). They’ve changed the design and instead of heavy metal alloy casing they now using light weight plastic that is resistant to the hursh engine bay environment. This thing is calibrated just right. How do I know it? Simple. My vehicle is old as myself and it extremely sensitive to any changes related to air/fuel mixture. This is the first time my engine is running so smooth. Accelerating, idling.. any time, all the time. It’s been a couple of months now. We shall see, as a blind man once said..
Delphi has been manufacturing precise electronics for a long time. They know their speciality best! Thank you! Five star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
And by the way.. Taiwan is not a mainland China. They speak the same language, but their mentality is different. So is the quality of their products.

Works as good as OEM, no difference in performance. Design is different, it’s a hard plastic vs aluminum, and harness plugs in at a better redesigned location. Time will tell if this is durable, but from initial observation I dont see why not.
