I have this connected to an exterior cigarette lighter port on my RV and it has worked great for about 2 weeks. I have not yet tested the USC C connector as I haven’t had a use case for it yet, but I liked the versatility of having both ports. I do wish it came with weather covers for each connector to help protect one or the other, when it is not being used, but so far, it’s been through a few rains, and no problems have surfaced.

It literally melted, poor quality lucky it did not start a fire please avoid, maybe just got a defective one but definitely no recommending it to others

Update: Left the battery/charger rig in my car and it charged the battery to 100% with just my 10 minutes here and there driving routine.
Acquired this to replace a lost 12V charger for my To Go power bank. 7.9 mm adaptor works fine, delivers wattage. The battery’s display takes several minutes to ‘calibrate’ itself so the 7+ hours to charge will probably drop to 3 or 4 after a few minutes.
I only tested for a few minutes to make sure it charges (battery does pass through and a better test would be to see how quickly the battery charges while running the refrigerator – however, waiting on a new thermostat for the fridge).
Very strong springs on the 12V plug. The 18 gauge is a little overkill, the cord is quite stiff out of the package, but it is 𝙚𝙭𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙡𝙮 the replacement I needed and is much better constructed than the original supplied with the power bank. Love the fact that it has a replaceable fuse and is reasonably priced.
Should be 4.5*, the 18 awg is a bit overkill.

Works just fine, not much else to say about it. Standard car charger and barrel DC connector ends. I like that it came with a little adapter to get to the size you need, although it’s always felt to me like there’s a billion different DC connectors these are pretty standard ones.

The thick cable is welcome, and so is the solid barrel connection.
Works great to power my astrophotography mount in the cold for a night of astronomy.

If you have the need for a 12V extension cable that terminates into a 5.5mm x 2.1mm plug, this is a good cable for you. The part that plugs into the car is fused (10A) and contains a red LED which shows when the cable has power. This cable also comes with an adapter which plugs into the end of this cable, making it fit a 7.9mm x 5.5mm plug. The power cord is a little over six and a half feet long and the wire is of nice quality. I actually ended up cutting the barrel plug end off of this cable, as I needed a six foot long 12V extension that I could solder to a device, and this product was great for that.

This is a very good 12V car cigarette lighter to “5521” male plug for various uses. I have a few uses, but one key one is to power 12V network equipment.
Almost all the other products like this are rated at a joke 2A or 3A with 20awg wire. This one has 18awg wire. They rate it for 10A, but I am more comfortable with a typical 7A.
Inconsistently, this listing says it has a 10A or a 15A fuse. Mine came with a 10A fuse. I had to use pliers to open the tip since it was on so tight. (Now properly tightened.)
What I also REALLY like is that this has some kinda Godzilla-strength springs on the side of the car plug end which are difficult to insert but REALLY hold the plug in. I’m so tired of weak springs that the button/tip pushes it out or it falls out. This one is great.
It also comes with a 5521 to 7909 adapter which fits many solar chargers. It is indeed a 5521 plug and not a 5525 which some products misadvertise and which cause loose/flaky connections. Indeed, this won’t fit a 5525 socket (good).
I do knock a star off, though, because this cord is unreasonably/crazy stiff and kinky. I tried to straighten it out, and it still fights me. If it had a flexible cord, it would be perfect.
