This starter was delivered on time and packaged nicely, but that’s where the positives end.
Sorry to say, they promised that this starter would fit my 2008 Kia Sportage, but my friend and mechanic struggled to install it – then had to remove it because it vibrated and made grinding noises.
He pointed out to me that this particular unit was made in China, and probably cut a lot of corners.
I returned this and purchased a new unit made by Valeo (made in Korea) – who makes many Kia and Hyundai OEM parts.
That unit fit perfectly with no issues whatsoever.
So – can this work for some? Maybe – just do some research first and know that while you’re getting a great price – it may come at a higher cost ultimately.
