First experience with DB Electrical was some stuff for my motorcycle. I was kind of worried it was so cheap I would get stranded somewhere. Put a new starter in and a starter relay. 3 years later it’s still going strong! So I decided to also put this starter on a custom project with a 6.0 LS Chevy motor. It’s modified quite a bit and this starter still cranks it over pretty well without a struggle. You get a pretty good deal for your money. Never had an issue!

Installed this on a 2010 Escalade ESV with 220k miles. So far, no complaints. It starts the truck with no problem. The original starter sounded as if it was going to quit soon. Best change it before it does.

Installed on an 2011 Yukon and it DOES start the vehicle, works as quick (should because it is a 1.4KW starter) as stock BUT I think it has incorrect amount of teeth for the flexplate in the vehicle. Kinda makes a VERY LOUD grinding noise when starting. MAKE SURE you count the teeth on your stock starter before ordering a replacement because the Amazon listing and Amazon confirm fit both say this fits. Need vehicle so cant have any more down time to replace again so will keep on vehicle until I have time to pull and check the wear on the teeth. Will update when I do and will update if the grinding gets worse or better.
Starter gets a 5 star for looking great and working and testing good (auto parts store tested twice). Gets lower score for not fitting when listing and Amazon confirm fit both say works. Again check your stock starter teeth (9/11/13) and make sure the ignition wire connection is the same (so far I have found 3 different connections for LS starter IGN wire to starter).

This worked well for my tahoe with a 6.0.
This is also an upgrade for those with the 5.3.
The 6.0 and 6.2 calls for a larger starter motor, 5.3 has a the smaller motor.
So far no issues, however for the install this starter has the old style bolt down ring connector for the starter sense wire.
My original has a weather pack connector that clicks into the relay on the starter.
Me not wanting to cut my harness, i opted to make an adapter.
For those wanting to do the same, my 09 uses the 280 series style connector.
I might have returned this, however this was going on as part of a fresh engine build.
So i had plenty of time to prepare as i waited on other parts.

Starter is a new starter. All new parts just started worked perfect i have had this starter for like three months. It has not given me any problems whatsoever. I recommend the starter.
