I had a heater hose blow then a few days later the alternator started making noise. Rather than get stuck on the road again I ordered one from DB electrical. Shipping was fast and it bolted on quick and easy. I like the spec sheet with the plot of the actual output of the unit.
This was 1/2 the price of the part stores and it’s new. No core was needed.

I bought this alternator for my 1999 Dodge 5.9. The fitment was good and price is right. I only drive the truck a couple times a month since I have a company car. I have had this in my truck for seven months and am having issues. There is bearing noise, low voltage, and feed back through the radio. It was nice to save money on the alternate but not if it results in a $200 dollar tow.

My alt was failing in my PU truck so I grabbed this one from Amazon. I have bought many DB Electrical alternators and starters in the past and frankly I have only had one issue I can recall when one had a bad bearing that squealed when installed.
DB Electrical sent me a replacement alternator which was great service.
I now have many Ford trucks and all now have DB Electrical alternators and starters.. I watched for and found returned or lightly damaged items that had been sent back and bought them at a discounted price from Amazon resale’ (warehouse) so it worked out well for my trucks. I kept all my used alt & starters as backups if the need ever comes some day.
For people needing a quality part for their autos I highly recommend DB Electrical for their needs based on my past experiences with the company. Good luck folks. Hope this info helps someone somehow..

Picked this up to replace a noisy alternator (failing bearing, but still pumping out amps). Any difficulties I had putting this in are due to Chrysler engineers, and not the seller.. this slotted in, bolted down and is silently putting out power to this old 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L that we use for the “dirty” work around the property. Recommended!
