Update to my review. Purchased mid May 2020, started making noise November 2021. Less than 20k on the part. Should have bought a rebuilt Denso. For $75 hard to complain but wish it lasted longer. As best as I could tell the rear bearing on this unit went. Electrically was still working, however noise was too loud to tolerate. Replaced with a rebuilt Denso from Rock Auto. So the conclusion is don’t expect miracles.

So far a perfect replacement, will continue to update this as time goes by. Recently also installed a starter from DB Electrical for my 2006 Honda CR-V. Initial impressions with DB products is very good. Time will tell and I will definitely update my reviews to reflect performance over time.
10/28/2020. (5 month update). No issues so far, working great. Been driving less (due to Covid) than in months and years past, so I think I drove as much in 5 months as I would in 2 normally. However both the alternator and starter for 2006 CRV from DB Electrical have been performing just fine.
1/12/2021. Still no issues, working just fine. Both alternator and starter doing just fine.
5/13/2021 No issues alternator and starter working just fine.

Wasted alot of time installing this alternator, could not get bolt holes to line up. I had to pull the alternator back out that’s when I noticed one of the bottom holes was off about 3/16″. I had to drill out all holes to get enough wiggle room to install all the bolts, then I finally could install it. Amazon support sends you to dB electrical website, then they send you back to Amazon, nice little run around. Would not buy from again, I assume the warrenty will be impossible to claim if there was an issue.

This alternator has been working perfectly so far. It fit well and connected easily. I dinged it one star because it arrived with a damaged pulley. The included picture is of the pulley after I attempted to fix it, but I decided it would’ve shredded the new belt, so I used the pulley from the old alternator instead. I would have exchanged it, but I needed the vehicle up and running again and swapping pulleys was a much faster solution. Although that fixed it easily enough, it added to the work I had to do. Not cool.
I marked “Easy to install” as 1 star because, due to Honda’s design, this thing is a huge pain to replace. Although that’s not the alternator’s fault, it still sucks to replace. As far as the part hook up, it was easy with one nut and one connector.
Would I do it again? Yes, because I don’t trust anyone else to work on my cars, but I would dread doing it.
Besides all that, it seems to be a decent quality part at a much lower cost and it has been serving us well for a couple of months already. I would recommend it as a viable replacement.

Went to install the alternator and found that the bottom bolts holes didn’t line up with the holes on the motor. The hole on one side isnt centered and is clearly why it didn’t align. I was going to just put the top and one of the bottom ones on and call it good but when I went to tighten the bottom bolts it bottomed out on the treads about a quarter inch before it even touches the alternator. This is clearly bad manufacturing. I will be returning and going with a different brand. If you can get the holes drilled correctly how can I trust the electrical portion is done right?

Thought my battery was dead! Turned out the alternator was bad! Once I replaced it with this brand, I was getting 14.46v! Highly recommend! Great value and quality product!

I had tried another cheaper brand of alternator and after installation the Battery light would not go out. I even took it to the auto parts store and had them check it out. Seller refunded my money and after checking out several others I settled on one from DB electrical. Seems they have a good reputation. It bolted right on and so far it has been working great. Getting over 14 volts and battery light stays off. This is a pain to install so I hope it gives me years of service,.

Everything was good with the purchase of this product the only issue I had was with the delivery. The driver delivered to the wrong address after I had to wait about a week due to the box being damaged through transport. I love that they do that but I had to wait until I received my refund before I could purchase the new one. Long story short I had to wait another couple days to receive the replacement. I put it on didn’t work but I needed a new belt and now my ride is riding good so far. Great price for a great product.
