Ok, this starter is half the price of the local parts store or factory OEM part on Amazon, that’s why I bought it. However, it is not as good as the original. First, I had to partially disassemble the starter to remove a wire harness bracket that was in the way of tightening one of the two main starter housing bolts. Whoever dreamed up that location should have to install the part. Secondly, it drags a little compared to the original. But….the van is starting and I saved a couple hundred bucks installing the part myself. If it lasts a few years I’ll say it’s worth it, until then….

Replaced my 02′ Honda Odyssey starter and solenoid with this assembly and it works great. Fixed the intermittent then to not at all starting problems. Make sure to save the wiring harness metal bracket from your original and put it on this new one. The one that comes on this replacement is not the same shape. Otherwise everything about this looks and feels like the OEM, just at a much more cost effective price. The starter has plenty of power and cranks the engine right up. Took me about an hour to get the old out and another hour to get this new one in. The hardest part was getting the 3rd bolt out that holds the battery tray in and is located near the bottom of the chassis. I rotated my drivers wheel out and then reached it from underneath. There wasn’t enough clearance for a ratchet so I had to use a wrench. A 12 mm ratcheting wrench would have been nice. You will need 10 mm, 12 mm and 17 mm sockets. Saved a lot of money doing it myself. I took the time to clean the battery terminals and all connectors. It is a little tight working space and the battery is a bit heavy trying to remove it. Otherwise everything went smoothly. Thank you Amazon for carrying this! Good luck with your repair.
Here’s a photo of the “PASSED” TEST REPORT that was included with my starter motor. I’m not sure that you will be able to read it on Amazon, but it includes specs such as Battery Conditions, Tester Conditions, Motor Specs, Performance Results, Free-run Results, Solenoid Results, Commutator / Brush Ripple Pattern, 6 Tests @ Different RPM’s Results. Tester ID and Serial Number.
Update: The starter and solenoid are still working fine after several weeks of use. I will update this review if anything changes.

My old starter crapped out on me Friday night. Amazon delivered this one next day while I was removing the old one, so the van was out of commission for less than 24 hours.
This starter sounds nice and strong. Relatively easy to install using some Youtube videos for guidance. Note that it does not come with new bolts (one of mine had damaged threads from a previous installation, so some new ones would have been nice). Also, the original had a rubber boot on the negative terminal (I think it’s the negative terminal? the one you don’t have to connect anything to) whereas this one did not.
Edit: 9 months later still works great. Nice and strong.

Perfect fit on a 2005 Honda Accord Coupe EX V6.
You will need a breaker bar or a metal pipe for leverage. You may also need an extension because there is no room to maneuver, or impossible to get socket on due to things getting in the way.
Use some lube too – just pop out the dipstick and rub some dirty oil on the bolts before you put them back in. Also it may be helpful to blast some air into the socket. I initially thought I cross-threaded the bolts but it was due to little metal shavings and metal to metal friction. Using the air and lube let me tighten the bolt without issues.
It’s not as easy as it looks on youtube but easily doable.
Car started right up, but only time will tell if it is reliable in the long term. The item did seem high quality and I saved a ton compared to how much one of the auto part stores would have charged.

shipping fast on time, good quality, accurate fit, but noted as others said: the starting sound changed compared to OEM starting sound.

The DB Electrical 410-54027 fit our 2003 Honda Accord V6 perfectly, and works well. The starter on our Accord started acting up yesterday morning; it would not crank. After a few retries it finally cranked over the engine, which started. The starter failed to crank again when I next tried to start the car, but after some retries it cranked. At the next attempt to start the car, it failed to crank, even after many retries and taps with a hammer. I ordered this DB Electrical 410-54027, and specified an overnight delivery, for delivery between 4 AM and 8AM. The starter arrived at 7:45 AM, a big thanks to Amazon for the on-time delivery. The starter looks fine, and bolted right in. The starter works perfectly. We just now need to see how long it lasts. A note for anyone wanting to remove the old starter: It took a lot of torque to break loose the bolts. We had to use a breaker bar AND a cheater pipe to break the bolts loose.

This starter assembly fit our 2006 TL perfectly and works perfectly. Super fast delivery from vendor was much, much faster than we thought it would be. The unit seems well built, is powerful and even came with a completion of testing performance sheet. Overall, highly impressed and highly recommended. My son and I installed on a Sunday afternoon in about an hour or so. He did most of the work and I handed him the tools. The hardest part of the process is removing the battery tray. It has 4 easy bolts on the top but 2 bolts underneath are a bear to get to. You will need 10, 12 & 17MM sockets, extensions and wrenches. You might also need a breaker bar to loosen the 17mm starter bolts. There are some youtube videos that are pretty good at showing. Our Acura dealer in Sanford quoted us $750 so we did it for 10% of that price. Our advice is that if you are resonably handy, you can do it yourself and save a bundle of $$$. If the performance changes of the starter, we will update review.

For a 03 Toyota Sequoia its a great price for a starter. Watched a video and had it installed and finished in under an hour. Works perfectly.
