I installed this starter in my 94 4Runner. Two weeks later, the plunger began to stick and burned out the starter relay. I went to the dealer and was surprised to learn that a genuine Toyota starter was only $30 more. The truck now starts every time as it should.

This is a great deal on a starter. I had the starter installed at a local shop, and everything is working perfectly in my 1994 Toyota V6 4×4 pickup. The affordability of this starter is unbeatable-there is no more solenoid clicking, and it starts every time with vigor. I will update the post if it gives me any issues, but it is a great deal without a $60 core charge at a fraction of the total cost at even the local big box stores.

This says it is for a 4runner, but I installed this on a 1995 Toyota Hilux Surf in Japan. It was very simple to pull the old one out and even easier to get this new one back in.

I installed this starter on my 1994 Toyota 4Runner 3.0 V6 4×4. It fit perfectly, no complications. Highly recommend this product. It cost about $60 dollars less than AutoZone and O’Rileys was charging with core exchange. Also, this part is brand new both auto parts were remanufactured. New at AutoZone was about $150 dollars more. Bought this starter for $94 dollars on 08/12/2019 on Amazon. Also, the delivery was two days and on a Sunday.
