Doesn’t actually fit a 1999 Ford Taurus 3L, it’s bracketing system is completely different.

The only thing was the little electrical tab was on the other side. I just had to move the wire over and scrap the little plastic holder dohickie. The problem with my Ford Taurus was that it wouldn’t do anything when I turned the key and this happened intermittently. No crank, no click, no nothing. I bought a new starter relay, but that wasn’t it. Took the old starter to Autozone, but it checked out good. It WAS the starter. Bought new one, now happy motorist again!

2 months of use and still working. Def sounds different than stock starter and who knows if it’ll last but got the old work beater back on the road.
