What I like about it is that I trust the name brand of the product. I purchased a starter from y’all a few years back and have no issues with my jeep cranking up. And the good thing was how easy it was to install. Very little effort.

The alternator in my Jeep failed 2 years ago and I took it to Pep Boys because they were local. All their replacements were re-manufactured. The replacement they used lasted 2 years, but the warranty was only one year, and limited. This time, the one I got from Amazon is brand new, and an exact fit for the year and model of my Jeep. It was easy enough to put in even though I am on crutches! It took a week to get here because it is shipped ground, but I had no problem with not being able to go anywhere until I got it fixed as I’m retired and not on anybody else’s schedule?

Perfect Fit! Seems to be charging ok. No more intermittent “check gauge light” because the original would occasionally stop charging. It was the original at 24 years old. Fits perfectly, exact replacement with the correct new pulley. Charging right at 14.1vdc also for people wonder, this will fit years 1999-2004 4.7L jeep grand Cherokee’s, the only difference is the positive stud side. The positive cable eyelet is just a little bigger on the 2001-2004 but still fits perfectly

The post for the battery wire was 8mm on the original alternator and this one is a fraction of that leaving the eyelet on the wire very sloppy, but it works so far.

What’s the difference between ordering Auto parts online and going to the store to pick them up? Online will actually send you the right part at least this company did. I also saved about a hundred bucks and not having to worry about a core charge. Shipping was fast, product was as described already in the vehicle and working great.

My husband and I were a tad worried about getting this alternator because some of the reviews made it sound horrible but we pulled the trigger and I am glad I did. He has had this in his jeep for over a month now and he has not had any issues with it. Changing it out took maybe 5 minutes.
