Bought this for my 2000 dodge ram put it on would not charge past 11 when I went to drive it went to zero and quit charging not made for dodge ram

I bought this to replace the one on my 2000 dodge ram 1500 5.9. The original alternator was 117 amp and this is 136 amp. Worked great. I did order threw the db electrical website so it was a lot cheaper. But will work in place of 117 amp alternator. Size is all the same.
