5k miles on it so far , works great on my 2004 6.0 excursion.

The product arrived in a timely manner with no issues and well packaged. However the only thing was that the plugs were on the right side instead of the left side, the good thing was that my wire harness had enough slack to actually reach and connect. That is why I’m giving it four instead of 5. It said it was for my truck but connections were on the opposite side.
Products looks great brand new and it was a really easy install. I give it a two wrenches hard. Anyone can install just four bolts and one two cables to disconnect.
Great value for the money and when I went to start the truck it started right up. Battery seems okay and the red cell light did not turn on. The reality is when I drive it to work to see if everything works fine. Good quality.

Received alternator next day. Fit perfectly. Exact match on 2007 F350 6.0 powerstroke. 10 minute installation. Extremely easy DIY repair. Don’t pay the shop to do this one!

I bought this in June for a 06 f350 powerstroke. Worked great for 4 months then today driving home you could smell it burning voltage dropped and when I opened the hood there are sparks flying out of it,and left a white powder on my hood .would not recommend unless you want your truck to start on fire I got lucky and caught it before that happened.

Purchased this twice and twice it arrived damaged. The second time it didn’t seem as bad, but after only 3 months of use, it the alternator quit completely. I would strong caution against buying this product. I’m now out the money for the original one I bought (this one), the cost of having it installed and now need to purchase another one and pay to have it installed less than 3.5 months later. Super disappointed.

I HIGHLY recommend you get a DC clamp style multi meter (about $30) first to use on your working stock alternator to see the draw of your glow plugs and the amount of time they fire off. Mine were drawing the exact high end of the stock alternator at 110 amps. The problem with that alternator was that it was producing an over voltage environment after the glow plugs went off, thus lighting my “battery” light intermittently. Meaning it would shut off the alternator for a moment, then back on, then off.
This alternator is rated at 180 amps. It topped out at 140 amps during glow plug start up and I can’t get any higher than 140 with the other power demands. WHO CARES?!! It’s more than $50 less than the cheapest rebuild at Napa or O’Reilly’s. I’m going with heck of a deal. But if you NEED 180 amps, get the tester once you get it to verify. Maybe they offer a 210 amp?? And that’s the actual 180. Also, plan on upgrading your alternator wire. I had some 1/0 lying around and a “Blue sea” style fuse for the battery terminal. You DON’T want to use the existing wire as it incorporates a parallel “fuseable link”. The links are basically two smaller wires. In my case 12 gauge. Those will pop with more amps.

Looks and works as advertised

Bought this for my 05 6.0 Powerstroke. I still keep my old one just in case of emergency. So far, my voltage has been great. 13.5v-14.3v while driving and idling! There’s no reason to buy a 220amp when this one does the job just fine. Everything bolts up as it should without any issues.

Perfect fit, works great!
