I liked the ease of amazon selling features/ two day shipping when a prime member/ that was necessary for being able to get the product fast and put it in my car quicker so i can have my car available as quickly as possible.
I own a 2004 ford escape 3.0 6 cylinder engine/ 4×4 wheel drive xlt SUV…and it took me quite a while to install this alternator, but i did it .
The alternator was robust, and was quite silent in its operation.
The seller has many refurbished and new/OEM being original equipment from the Manufacturer is what i purchased….I went off most reviews of the lesser cheaper products, but OEM is the way to go.
This alternator has a fan inside it, and aids in the cooling of itself while being mounted next to the exhaust manifold behind the engine on the passenger side near the firewall of the vehicle.
Just a note: owning the type vehicle i own has two options to install this unit. One being remove the Y header of the exhaust and risk breaking studs in the pipe fittings. Second: remove the intake manifold completely and have a mild time pulling the alternator out.. Then there was the third option i found out on youtube videos of taking it out between the firewall and engine only removing some vacuum lines and pulling the alternator up between the back of the engine and firewall..it is tough to do..but can be done..keep wiggling and pulling up very hard .
Or 4thly ..take the car to a mechanic and pay over 7oo.oo dollars and have them do it.
I hope this helps.. but in respect to the alternator , it is robust and delivers over 100 AMPS of service to your accessories and headlights and charging your battery. YOu will know the difference and see how it performs perfectly when you buy the OEM or more expensive unit….don’t buy the cheaper refurbished one.

La confiabilidad de que funcionó a la primera, la apariencia del armado limpio. El nivel de voltaje y corrientes que proporciona sin variaciones notables, en la marcha ralentí da confianza que regula muy bien la carga.

Didn’t last long and had me stranded on the road

Took me a little bit to get it, easy to install and works great in my car now

Everybody seems to want a mint for these things – Poor design by ford to make it so you have to pull the axle to replace an alternator! In a hot and dirty place no less… Anyway it fit, it works, issue resolved… I sure hope it lasts!
Only complaint is it is a bit noisy…

Fit perfect on my Mazda Tribute and is working perfectly. Good thing because they are a real PITA to change them. (You should not have to pull the passenger front suspension to change an alternator and they should not be placed right next to a catalytic converter where it will be cooked. What were you thinking Ford/Mazda engineers?)

Purchased this alternator for my son’s vehicle in September 2024. He is in college out of state (8 hours from home) and took this vehicle with him in October. In early December the alternator failed and we had to have it replaced at a local mechanic in his college town. I contacted the company to see about returning the failed alternator, however they only accept returns within the first 30 Days of purchase. After that, they will only replace it with another alternator. It’s unfortunate that they do not stand behind their product. Failure after 3 months is a dismal performance and getting a “backup” alternator which will also likely fail is poor customer service. I will never buy another product from DB Electrical.

Replacing the alternator on an escape is a huge task. Had some alternate approaches on you tube but I followed the Haynes manual with success. This is the same alternator you would get at a parts store or shop. I think many shops are now using Prime as well. The alternator has been working fine. Be sure a new belt is used and replace any of the plastic clips you break to avoid having the spray shield problems. It’s also a good chance to check the brake lines.

Fits and works perfectly. It was difficult to install, but that wasn’t the alternator’s fault. Just hope I don’t have to go through that again, as it took me 2 days and several u-tube videos to get the job done. Ford didn’t have a better idea with the alternator placement on the Escape.
