Don –
Good price, however I would have liked to have a new gasket included.
My tractor runs great now!
YOUSSEF Sukkar –
I installed it and it is working good I took off the 6 volt tyristor and the tractor is running on 12 volt.
Shawn McClain –
Got my Ford 2n back in the field with no issues.
Rejean D. –
great
Tim Wright –
It’s like for like with the old one I have other issues with my 9n so we will see how it works
Jimmie Taylor –
We had some people tell us we needed to use a resistor inline on this 12v coil on our 12v converted tractor because it would burn the points up but we converted to electronic ignition. We had poor performance with the resistor so we took it out and it has ran a whole lot better. We still have the resistor ballast connected to it though. Maybe this will help if you have points but if you converted to electronic ignition, don’t use the inline resistor.

Works great in my converted 8n. Just be aware that this does not directly connect to the ignition.
If you are converting to a 12v system from a 6v system:
It connects the ballast resistor mounted by the battery, hooking it directly to the ignition switch will kill it.
From a 12V system still using the 6v coil (This is the setup I changed from):
If you were using your original 6v coil on a 12v system with a second resistor you will no longer need the extra resistor. Get rid of it. Connect the coil directly to the ballast resistor.

The coil was a perfect fit for my 9n tractor installation was easy and started quickly
Enacio Luna –
product durability was a concern
Steven Grice –
Was an exact fit for my 1947 Ford 8N tractor. Was 1/4 of the price of Tractor Supply’s price and is the exact same product. Thanks.
