After looking for an OEM replacement for the automatic transmission shifter indicator light socket for my c5 Corvette and realizing that they were $30, I decided to give this a go. I used a sharp razor to cut off two of the tabs and then worked it in. It’s a soft rubber so it didn’t have to be a perfect fit. It works great with an led bulb

Ok, they fit, but these sockets bend and are too soft, squishy almost, so the contacts move around in them. So they work, but I’d probably just glue them on. There are some black ones on eBay that are more rigid and similar to OEM. I use these for JDM side markers.
