We use these on all our cars including our electric cars Tesla & Leaf (by law they are required to have a 12v lead acid battery, all that tech weighed down by idiots in power where another Lithium ion battery could have been utilised.
But hey ho, these things are simple to fit & are on all our cars, if you have a merc with a floor based battery this speeds up access & charging faff, if you have a smart car with the battery under the passenger footwell one of these ctek’s allows it to sit in the middle of the trim to charge it from either side of the vehicle.
Idiot proof for the idiot generation who have to call out the emergency services to change a tyre or similar, the cable also acts as a visual reminder to do a battery maintainence charge periodically & also renovate (shake cack off the plates).
This is a buy once use forever product, cheap enough, (often one comes with a ctek charger too)
Get one (no need for the LED version they aren’t accurate & so misleading)

Consider buying a USB lighter socket voltage display to give you additional warning when you start your car up as to voltage (my eyes are always on them, they work) used in combination with a ctek you can pre-empt voltage drop problems & get in there before winter / lack of use damages your battery

Be sure not to over tighten the terminal ends it’s soft plated copper.

As with all items from this company it is well manufactured. The insulation on the terminals has a nice soft feel, so it should last well and not become brittle with age. The socket is of similar material and the cap makes a snug closure that should keep the wet and dirt out.
I have fitted this on my farm quad so it will get a thorough testing in all conditions and every flavour of muck!
I have these fitted to all my road bikes too, they are well worth the money and make charging simple and safe.

The M6 eyelet fit the 6mm stud on the negative post clamp that is used to tighten the battery cable to the terminal. It did not fit on the positive side for two reasons. First, the 6mm nut on the positive clamp is rounded on the bottom of the nut (so that it tightens the clamp. Second, if the horizontal bar is pulled off and the eyelet is placed under the bar then the bar wont lay flat because the insulated part of the eyelet is in the way. I worked around that by using an M8 eyelet instead, but it was still quite tight. There is a larger stud (m10 or m12?) on the positive clamp, further back, that might have been a better option, but I don’t recall seeing a similar size stud on the negative.
I have these connectors installed on all three of my vehicles and they are very convenient. Much nicer than using the alligator type clamps that come with the smart charger. The older connectors came with the inline fuse, but my recent purchase did not.
