Got this discontinued part to install on a 2005 Jeep Wrangler X

Surface is not flat where throwout bearing rides. I don’t know what difference it will make for noise or throwout bearing life, but the recommendation from mechanics is to replace the input bearing retainer on the NSG370 when obvious signs of wear are present. The supplied part has multiple low spots already on the surface when new.

Would not buy again, would buy Mopar part directly, I installed it and the new TOB immediately hung on the shaft portion where it was not perfectly smooth. I ended up having to drop entire trams again to get to this, I then smoothed both with Emory cloth and went through the process again. It works now but for 96 dollars it should be a replacement that requires putting in place, not having to tweak it to work.
