The pulley fit perfect, 1988 jeep YJ. It’s an idler pulley. In place of A/C condenser. I had a hard time finding a used one, and other non-fit pulleys bearing bolt holes were to big. This pulleys bearing has a sleeve pressed in that fit original bolt perfectly. The price was cheaper than used ones. I paid extra and it arrived within 48 hrs, and since it goes on a primary vehicle that was important. The pulley is 100mm diameter and its 6 grooves fit perfect. It’s a steel pulley which was important. To me it’s as good as the original. I highly recommend buying this one if you need it for your YJ.
MJ1959 –
This item fits a 1985 Jeep CJ7 with the 4.2L engine perfectly. This part is impossible to find at any of the big name auto part shops. I checked with 3 of them and not a single one carried this pulley. I finally did a Google search and came across this part number and found it on Amazon. It got my Jeep going finally and it is a nice part. Actually thought about buying a second one just to have it, but I figure this one will probably out last me now.

Same as the original on my ’82 CJ& (4.2l). A direct fit.
My pulley was in good shape, but the bearing was shot. After much searching, I found no manufacturer that makes the correct size bearing. Even this replacement part has a common size bearing with a sleeve installed. Though this pulley is not cheap, it is of excellent quality. Its metal like the original. Cheaper options out there are plastic which I feel will not last long.

The pulley is definitely good quality but before buying a pulley make sure it isn’t your belt squeaking. We bought this pulley as the belt *seemed* fine and a touch of lube shot at the bearings quieted the squealing down. But after replacing the pulley the Jeep was still screaming! Tried the “bar of soap” test on the sides of the belt and it shut right up. Threw on another belt and it quieted right down. At least it’ll be a long time before we ever need another pulley in this spot!
