If you have a house with metal stuff, you’ll eventually get rust. It’s good to have a bottle of rust remover on hand. It may be months or years before you need to use it but when you do it’s nice to have something like this. I pour a small amount into a glass and either put the rusted part in or use a paper towel to dip in the solution and wipe the rusted part with it.

This product does a great job in removing any type of built-up rust due to dirt rain, etc. it was easy to apply and easy to remove and I highly recommend this product

I got this rust remover to use on a shower panel that was starting to show some signs of rust. I began with the recommended 10:1 and gave it time to work. It didn’t seem like it was doing the job so I remixed a 5:1 solution and reapplied. After sitting for a while and with a bit of scrubbing the rust did come off. It would probably work much better if the rusty item could be soaked in the solution rather than being applied with a spray bottle like I did since I couldn’t submerge the whole panel. It’s a large concentrated bottle so it will last a long time. In the future if I can soak the rusted item I will use this otherwise I’ll chose something that works a bit faster than this product does. It works but it take time.

First, the bottle showed up 1/3 empty because the foil under the lid was punctured. The wet box didn’t give it away I guess.
It wouldn’t have mattered if I had a full bottle though because it didn’t work at all. I tried deleted at 1.10 and let stuff soak, when that didn’t create any headway I put some in a spray bottle and sprayed it directly on without the dilution. I let it even set overnight. None of the recommended applications worked. I had more luck with Easy Off oven cleaner. It at least got 2/3 off.
This is a more expensive product and a clear example that more expensive is not better.

My husband is almost always using and fixing all things that are metal, and out where we live, in rural America, things get rusty. The elements terrorize his metal items like no one would believe, so he is always needing to find ways to remove rust without harming or damaging the item.
Well, this is a grand start to that search as it is useful and fantastic with removing rust from his metal items, such as chairs, tables, tools, bringing them all back to life while not damaging or hindering the quality of the chair. Easy to use, a well worth item for the purchase price!

Honestly, I was disappointed in this organic rust treating solution. My expectations were higher for a product in this price range ($27.99). I tried it in both 10:1 (recommended) and 5:1 dilutions, allowing the tools I was treating to soak for 6-12 hours. While it did remove some rust it wasn’t anywhere near as effective as some of the other popular products on the market like Evapo-Rust. It took a good deal of scouring and elbow grease to get the tools completely rust free after treatment. Overall, I would rate it 3/5.

I work on old cars, so I got this for cleaning small parts and removing all the rust. It works, but it takes time for it to clean them really good. I checked them every hour and little by little it got the job done. It says ten to one on the mixing. That seemed like it wasn’t working, so after 2 hours I went to 80% water 20% rust remover. That worked a whole lot better. I didn’t smell anything and it took about 6 hours to remove the rust. It’s not a quick process and it doesn’t shine but it’s worth it. It could be faster. Maybe with a 50/50 mix ratio. Worth having.

I got this “heavy duty rust remover” because I thought it was better than vinegar for cleaning my electric kettle. I tried it at a 1:10 dilution ratio; that did not work. Then I tried it undiluted, but that did not work either. This was, of course, after letting the solution react for 30 minutes, or even trying to bring it to a boil. The verdict: the rust was not overly impressed.
On the bottle, it says that this rust removal is intended for ultrasonic cleaners. I don’t have one of those, so I cannot comment on its effectiveness in that case. On the other hand, it is sold as a “heavy duty rust remover” and not as an “ultrasonic concentrate solution.”
Anyway, tailor your expectations accordingly.
