I purchased two of these craftman battery maintainers to keep my motorcycle batteries charged up during the winter. These chargers are really great quality, that are incredibly easy to use. They function flawlessly and keep my batteries charged. The included quick connect is a huge plus for the value on this charger as anytime there is a beautiful day I can quickly disconnect it to take a bike out.

Received my battery tender the next day. Read all the directions, hooked it up to my battery and plugged it in. It began charging right away (orange light) and about 8 hours later it began the maintenance mode (green light). Very easy! I recommend this battery tender.

Mounted this battery maintainer where the factory jack was on my 1993 Jeep Wrangler renegade. This is not the charger you would buy if you had a dead battery but rather if you’re trying to keep one topped completely say in winter for cold starts. This is a maintainer and a very high quality one. It’s very attractive it feels to be made very well it is actually manufactured by Schumacher and they make excellent battery chargers and electrical components. The chords that come with it are long enough to accommodate nearly anyone. This model is not actually designed to be mounted under hood but instead to be hung on the wall or something of that nature so I put some 1-in square padding under the corners where I screwed it down so that air can circulate underneath the bottom side of it. This type you simply plug in and it automatically begins to charge, it will detect the type of battery you have & the voltage. There are no buttons to push you simply plug it in and it does the rest for you. I highly recommend it and I believe it is a great product that will give me good service for years to come.

Si estás buscando un cargador de baterías que mantenga la carga y sea fácil de usar este es una muy buena opción. Lo utilicé con una motocicleta de viaje de alta cilindrada y trabajó muy bien. Ojo, es un cargador y mantenedor de carga por lo que el amperaje es bajo y adecuado para mantener tu batería en buenas condiciones. No es un cargador rápido, ni es para arranque en emergencias.

Es un cargador fantástico. Lo he puesto a prueba en las dos baterías de mis automóviles clásicos y funciona correctamente. El cargador Craftsman de 12v y 1.5 amp. tiene un desempeño notable. No se calienta en exceso y lo más importante: no sobrecarga las baterías, las mantiene en un rango de goteo de 12.7 a 13.8 voltios lo cual es genial. El cargador viene con dos opciones de conectores a la batería: mordazas rojo (+) y negro (-) para la carga eventual y cable con ojillos para una conexión rápida y permanente al acumulador. Su manual de instrucciones es generoso en explicaciones y viene en español, inglés y francés, en él se indica que el cargador cuenta con las siguientes ventajas: Modo de carga automática, Detección de batería defectuosa, Modo de desulfatación, y un indicador de finalización de la carga. Puede utizarse en baterías pequeñas de motocicleta, tractores de jardín; en autos y camiones; y en baterías marinas y de ciclo profundo (checar previamente la descripción del producto, ya que en algunos casos solo servirá como mantenedor únicamente, dependiendo del amperaje de la batería).
Cabe señalar que luego de una mala experiencia con un cargador Noco Genius 5 que devolví por haber dañado las dos baterías previas de mis automóviles al haberlas freído literamente, fui muy cuidadoso al seleccionar un nuevo cargador de baterías (y digo nuevo, por antes del Noco tuve un cargador Schumacher de 1.5 amp. que salvó la vida de mis baterías durante la pandemia hasta que por causas naturales y el tiempo de uso, dejó de funcionar), por lo que antes de adquirir el cargador Craftsman, revisé muchas marcas de cargadores y sus reseñas aquí en Amazon y otras tiendas en línea, resultando que el Cratfsman es el mejor valorado y con un porcentaje mínimo de valoraciones negativas, y ahora sé por qué y veo que no me equivoqué al seleccionarlo como reemplazo de mi viejo cargador Schumacher.
Y hablando de la marca Schumacher (conocida por la calidad de sus cargadores de batería), leí en una de las reseñas aquí publicadas que este cargador Crafstman está manufacturado por Schumacher, jaja, no lo creí sino hasta que por mi mismo lo constaté al recibir el cargador en mi casa. Y en efecto, en la caja del producto y en dorso del manual aparece que está fabricado por Schumacher Electric Corporation, lo cual me hace felíz doblemente. Un acierto de Crafstman vincularse a Schumacher para la venta de este genial cargador!
Por todo lo comentado, expreso mi satisfacción con este cargador Craftsman (de ser necesario, actualizaré la reseña) al que le otorgo 5 estrellas, así también con el vendedor y con Amazon, que entregaron en forma puntual el producto en mi domicilio, lo cual es genial!

The charger has been in use for about one month and seems to be doing its job. These battery charger/maintainers go about their job silently and for the most part efficiently but they can and do fail. Problem is there is no indication of a problem until you try to start your vehical and the battery is dead. Craftsman is still a respected name brand and time will tell if this charger lives up to that.
