Haven’t used it much, but it appears to work as advertised.
Jeff Schroeder –
Spray nozzle consistently gets plugged and could not get full use out of the complete spray can
Honcho –
I used this to spray on the under carriage of my truck. Product seems to work very well but I have only had a short time.

Awesome product but I have a 3/4 full can with no aerosol left in it and no way to get the wax out. Very disappointed.

I have been unhappy with the other Corrosion-X products but Max Wax is the real deal. It does take a long time to dry but forms a relatively dry to the touch, thick wax like coating (its like you dipped your item in melted candle wax. Just a little tacky to the touch, but not oily or greasy). Works REALLY well for long term storage of any metal parts. Its a little bit of a pain to clean off, but worth the effort for how easy it is to use, and how well it protects parts from the elements. I have worked in the robotics industry, automotive/hot rod industry, aviation industry, and industrial equipment/heavy manufacturing industry, and I HIGHLY recommend Max Wax. I will ALLWAYS have a couple cans in my tool cabinet.

My son the engineer informed me that in order to keep the metal surfaces on my new JET bench press newish looking and rust free I should apply copious amounts of elbow grease to carnuba wax on all the exposed surfaces…I was thinking well there’s an afternoon shot. Now I love Corrosion Tech’s products (Reel-X, Speed-X, Corrosion-X) so when I saw this was a waxed based spray intended for exactly what my son was conveying it was a no brainer over the hours of elbow grease vs a spray can. Been a few very wet months now and it’s still bright and shiny whereas the one or two small areas I missed will need some attention removing that light reddish crust thats started to appear on those areas. I also used it on my table saw surfaces. Good stuff.

I’ve been using CorrosionX products for a long time now and like them all. I use the HD on my vehicles, the regular stuff on my gear.
This was is great on blades and firearm parts (not as a cleaner or lube) for protection. On blued steel is coats well and prevents finger prints and rust. On rifle barrels and magazines it keeps them clean and slick. On blades like D2 it prevents and corrosion.
Carnuaba wax by itself is safe to use on blades that cut food but use care with Max Wax if you use it on a pocket knife as it has additional chemicals (Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor).
I’ve used it on firearms, knifes, watch crystals (to stop fingerprinting), machetes, fishing gears and so on. Anything you want a buffed wax finish with rust preventing benefits.
I would not use this UNDER A VEHICLE to stop rust as one user did. I would use CorrosionX HD for that. Use this where you would use a car/fiberglass wax or polish.

this product coats well and stays soft, just what I needed!
