I noticed steam coming out of my radiator. I thought that was odd. So I hopped out and looked. The cap shown above that I recently purchased had somehow detached from its base leaving it separated into two sections. My car overheated and now I have to replace it again.

My thermostat was opening when it was supposed to. I replaced the cap first and that fixed the problem.
