Perfect fit in my 2019 escalade. Started right up. Only reason for my 4 stars is that it did not come with a mounting screw for the shield bracket and has an unplugged hole at the bottom. Installation was 15 min.

It’s been 2 months, still works, no issues to date. Install was a bit of a pain to be honest, but be patient and u can fit this big bulky unit in the hole! It will have u moaning and groaning but once you slide and fit it inside the hole snug, it’s heaven!

This starter was NOT an exact replacement for the factory starter as advertised. While the installation bolts lined up fine, the positive battery cable post is situated at a much different angle than the original, making it nearly impossible to get a socket on it once installed (see photo/video). The starter I received is not the same as was pictured and there was no way to adjust for it.
I also had an issue getting the connector with the red clip (you know the one) to snap into place. It went together fine, but couldn’t get it to “click” in despite multiple attempts.
I wound up purchasing this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MCZLG3O. And while it was more expensive, it was an exact replica of the original factory starter. Hopefully this saves someone the time and aggravation I dealt with.

This was a perfect fit for my Cadillac Escalade ESV 2015. The angle of the connectors were inline like the oem. I compared the one i bought to online auto part images and to the one i removed that cost 3x as much and they are almost a perfect match. After removal and re install i can tell you it was a match. At the time i bought the picture they show on seller page if different. But again the one you get is like oem. 👍🏻 if you have never done this you can diy but i want to warn you. It is a tight fit to remove the starter and we did it on a mechanic lift thank goodness. The hard part is getting off the cable and clip (dirty stuck on) and pulling the starter out the small opening party the bar and heat shield. Be aware it is going to test your patience the job itself. I have been using this for around 4 weeks now with perfect starts everytime. (As of 2/5/24) if i ever have an issue I’ll change my review to let you know but if not then it is still going strong. Good price for sure and oem quality.(Edit 02/05/25) Changed this out twice in a year at around 6 months and again needing it. Having the second starter interdentally starting going to fell very soon. I am looking for a replacement and not this one. Fails after 6months gave it a chance.

It works and starts, hope it last!
Also, it was hard to get the signal wire to clip in, but I believe you can switch the connector off of the original starter to this one with the Phillips screwdriver, Do that before install.
Also was able to order and get this starter faster than the local Advance auto and Napa, They all had three day lead times.

With minimal tools, I successfully installed this starter into my 2017 Silverado 5.3 in my driveway, completing the task in approximately 90 minutes. The starter has been functioning impeccably since installation, and I am genuinely content with its fit, feel, and cost-effectiveness. Consequently, I highly recommend this product.
