Worked perfectly to fix my 2019 Toyota Tundra’s gas lid that wouldn’t stay closed. The old spring was still intact but was thin and rusty and could no longer hold gas lid closed.
I watched a YouTube video on how to replace it and it took less than five minutes.

Product is equal to OEM works as it should if you install correctly

Looks like an OEM fit and product. It’s a pretty easy installation; just be sure to get the orientation correct. There are lots of YouTube videos on how to replace this spring. You can also take a few pictures before replacing the spring.
FYI.. take off the filler cap lid from the truck before trying to replace the spring. There are four screws holding this onto the truck, and doing this on a workbench makes the job much quicker and easier. Do a search on YouTube on how to replace the spring. Take pictures before you remove the spring, otherwise it can be confusing putting it back on.
My only negative is that it is made of the same/similar carbon steel as the one that broke from being corroded by the northeast salty winter roads. I would really like to have replaced the spring with a stainless steel one, but I have not been able to find one. For a few bucks, it’s a quick and cheap fix.
