I purchased this battery charger so it would work with the new lithium ion batteries I put in our riding mower. The old charging station were meant for deep cycle batteries. This charger was much smaller and turns off once the batteries are fully charged. So far it has fully charged are batteries multiple times and it has a display to let you know where your batteries are at in the charging process. Very happy with the purchase.

Needed a 48V charger and I’ve had this running for about six months. Works fine and seems to trickle charge well.

Only thing I would wish for is a remote charging light connector.

Ok, so I put lithium lifepo4 batteries in my golf cart. I bought this because it had the plug and the cable clamps.

So I put the clamps on the golf cart because I did not have the time to bypass the factory charger and it started up fine and was charging the batteries.

So I had to use my golf cart and then when I was done with it I tried to plug it up and the power cord would not seat in the socket and when I pushed the plug in the whole back caved in and no way of fixing this.

A honest opinion please do not buy this charger. The quality is trash and build of it is trash. When it worked it worked good but when a plug wont plug and in and work do not buy. The plug would go in and the on/off light would come on but you had to push the plug in for it to actually come on.

Returning this asap. DO NOT BUY THIS ONE!!!

Recently upgraded the 36v EZGO Golf Cart to LiFePO4 batteries and needed a charger that would integrate with most of the existing charging structure. Since this had the proper D style plug I went with this as a first attempt.

Charger came well packaged, was not concerned about any damage in transit. There are plenty of sensitive electronics inside of these things so something getting knocked loose could be a risk later on, wasn’t concerned when I received it. All of the listed parts were included, no issues there!

First charge: I hadn’t quite upgraded the charging cables yet so held off on pushing this thing to the limit, 5 Amp Charge rate @ 36v, detected the proper battery type, started ramping up to the specified charge rate. Keep in mind, these batteries had already been balanced individually prior to being put into the cart, and had only had a minor drain from testing, so initial charge was gonna go quick either way. Properly topped off, ramped down, and went into “Maintenance Mode” to keep them topped off. No issues, good to go.

Second Charge: This time the batteries had been drained a bit more, however again only used 5 Amp charge rate, based on what I had figured for capacity and drain, it took about the time I expected for the full charge.

Once I upgrade the wiring from the D style port to the batteries, I’ll likely attempt to use the 18 Amp charge rate, but based on the size of the cables I feel like they needed to be beefed up a bit more before going that route.

One complaint, but was known before purchasing, the length of the cable on the battery side of things is shorter than I would like. I knew this going into it and have a feeling it was to keep the gauge of the wires smaller, but would like to see an option to extend it. Additionally, when I first started using it, the cord can easily come out of the port. Would love to see a clip to hold this in place, but I manufactured something of my own to keep the cord connected in the mean time.

Overall, a great product for a Golf Cart charger, keep in mind the voltages you need, and the wiring you have in place to support it. It is a solid charger for this specific purpose, but does not carry over to any other use case like a 12v charger, or an always on power source.

I got this for my sister so she can keep her car charged when she goes on long trips. The battery in her card dies pretty quick because of all the electronics in the car. She usually has a ton of work trips so having this saves her car from dying which is great. This device easily plugs into the wall and the charger is able to keep your battery charged. It is easy to just clamp and power the device on. You can turn the device off whenever you do not need it. The digital screen shows how much power is going through and the internal fan system keeps this thing from over heating. I am not sure if you should plug this into a surge protector. I would only recommend plugging it directly in the wall to avoid any issues. I am not an electrician but I just would not plug this into a power strip. I have not tried to use this to jump a car. I did try it on my school golf carts to see if it does a good job with charging and it does pretty well. I would say this works pretty well to keep your battery charged when you have things in storage. The cable is fairly long so you do not have to worry about not having enough slack. I could actually keep this device on my engine and have it charging which is great. It may not work for others though but I have a flat area. The golf cart though was able to charge overnight without much issue. When I checked the golf cart in the morning, it was fully charged. I like that you can change how much power is going through. The clamps are live so be careful when handling them. I would recommend clamp BEFORE you turn it on just to avoid any issues. Also make sure you have the correct settings before powering it on. The cooling system is not too loud and it does not get too hot. Overall this is a good device to have if you are trying to make it so that you have something that can charge your car battery or golf cart. So far it has done a great job doing both. That being said, I am not sure if the charger is able to jump a car. I would recommend using this for cars that are not always in use and need to keep their batteries from dying. It stays relatively cool and charges pretty quickly.
