As someone who has installed PPF like this on many cars, you get what you pay for with this price. I wouldn’t recommend. This quality is prone to pinching and will ruin the PPF during the application process. Stay away.

So the idea of this PPF is to protect the rear door from the mud/rocks from your front wheels. Which will also be worse if you do not have any mudflaps at the front. The PPF is a basic one, doesn’t repel any water or anything fancy. To apply, I recommend using soapy water and of course, cleaning the area before doing so. It does stick well once done, recommend waiting a full day when applied to check for any bubbling afterwards. It doesn’t cover a whole lot but enough for that spot by the front of the rear wheels.

Package does not have manual, there is no spray for a film only empty bottle.
Overpriced item it should not cost more than 5$ idk for how long it will last for.

Good to have as added protection to your vehicle is always a plus and these help keep the rocks and chips from kicking up on the road and damaging your car as well as keeping it protected from tar and others objects from messing up your paint.

Received this item on a cardboard cylindrical container for protection. I was initially impressed until I saw that there are some dust inside that sticked into one corner of both films. I am not sure if I could still use it but decided to clean it and attempt to apply it. Cleaned the corners with a mild soap and seems to clean it properly. Not sure if I was just lucky. The film feels thick enough to provide protection. The shape might be a little bit off but not obvious once placed. There are no labels to indicate which one is right or left but use the round side to match it with the wheel well. Cuts and edges seems professionally made but the paper where it is attached is not.
Instructions were very simple but I suggest you watch a few videos on how to do it properly. This is something I recommend to every telsa Y owners because the rear wheels are wider and the rear door flares outside making this susceptible to scuffs and scratches from debris. I found some damage on mine from owning it for 2 months so it is a hot spot for damage.
Use mild baby soap if you can versus a detergent that can remove your wax. Clean the are first then spray some solution and make sure you keep wet. The included non lint towel is small so I used a bigger microfiber towel. Spray some into the ppf on the sticky side and feel free to position it to are correct alignment. This may be challenging since the door is not flat but feel free to try multiple times and keep the area wet if you have to move it. Spray on top of the film and use the included squeegee to take the water out starting from the inside to outside. Keep it wet so the film doesn’t get damaged and enjoy the protection you will get.
The film is also invisible. The only part you can see is one side creates a faint line.
Should have bought this first when car was new.

This PPF is fairly thick. I’ve bought & installed PPF on 3 different cars over the years. I’d say this is a good quality PPF. Good thing that it’s for a small area. Otherwise, thicker PPF usually requires more experience and skill to install.

Initially, I was a bit skeptical about the need for PPF on the rear doors of my 2023 Model Y. However, after returning from our first road trip and noticing some small scratches caused by rocks, I quickly realized the importance of this product. I was fortunate enough to come across the KKTR-CAR PPF just in time for our next road adventure.
Before installing the PPF, I took the time to watch installation videos, not only for this product but also for related ones. Additionally, I referred to the instructions on the Tesla website to ensure I was well-prepared for the installation process. To my surprise, the installation turned out to be much easier than I expected, even for someone like me who had no prior experience with PPF. The slip solution created by mixing 15% mild soap (Cetaphil) and 85% water in a spray bottle worked wonders and made the process smoother. I found it crucial to be cautious of the film becoming slippery when wet and to ensure that no portion of the film was hanging off the edge of the vehicle.
The best part of the KKTR-CAR PPF is that it fits perfectly and looks fantastic on my car. In fact, it’s so seamless that you wouldn’t even notice there’s anything on the doors unless you actively search for it. I am thoroughly satisfied with the product and highly recommend the this PPF to anyone looking for a reliable solution to protect their vehicle’s paint.

Placed on nicely. Remember to spray lot of water before applying and keep spraying water while moving the piece until the placement is set and use a squeegee to squeeze all the water back out. Pretty pricy but well protection for the area.
