We recently purchased a new GMC truck, which does not have a 12 v outlet. I bought this to power my two air compressors – unfortunately, the boost converter was unable to get the voltage high enough to operate either compressor.

It works great. I did find that I didn’t get as much voltage as the lighter that is plugged in directly but this is to expand your connection so that is fine for me. I test it powering on my dash cam and it worked. I didn’t lose any power the entire 30 minutes ride. This is a great way to extend charging in the car. I will be using this mainly in renter cars as my crown car has a few lighter ports and I have a lighter extender already.

Der Zigarettenanzünder wird in einer Kunststofftüte geliefert. Auf der Tüte befindet sich ein CE Zeichen, die Nennung des EU Vertreters, sowie der Herkunftshinweis “Made in China”. In dieser Tüte befindet sich dann noch eine zweite Tüte, in der dann der Adapter sich befindet.
Ich wollte den Adapter für ein Gerät verwenden, das einen Zigarettenanzünder Stecker hat, und etwa 12V bei ~700mA benötigt, mehr nicht. Mit diesen Grenzwerten funktioniert der Adapter perfekt. Wenn der Adapter in Betrieb ist, dann leuchtet eine rote LED in dem kleinen Gehäuse in der Mitte des Kabels.
Der Adapter ist sehr universell zu verwenden. Er kann an einem USB Netzteil genutzt werden, oder auch einer Powerbank. Der Adapter nutzt an der USB-C Quelle übrigens ausschließlich 5V. Die Möglichkeiten die PD bietet mit höheren Spannungen nutzt dieser Adapter nicht. Daher ist er wohl auf 12V 1.5A (18W) begrenzt.
Der Adapter kostet 10.99€. Der Preis passt aber für mich, da er für meinen Usecase perfekt funktioniert.
Fazit:
Für meinen Usecase ist der Adapter perfekt. Daher gebe ich 5 Sterne!
