Fit my 2005 Scion tC perfectly. Wasn’t fun to replace, but that has nothing to do with the quality of the product. (Lesson learned: buy a new carrier support bracket from the dealer before tackling this job, because the old axle is pretty much guaranteed to be rusted into it. I wasted 4 days waiting for that part to arrive, because dealers don’t stock it.)

I decided to go with this brand instead of the Autozone brand as I have heard autozone brand has a lot of vibration. These Axles don’t have any vibrations. Easy to install. Just need to be patient.

This part is exactly what I needed! It has both the axle-seal and the carrier bearing pre-pressed for a super easy installation. The quality of the axle seams pretty good, and the rotation of both axles I ordered seems smooth, but not loose.
I say both axles, because the first one had been damaged in shipping. That is why I docked a star. The shipping block that supports the axle-seal was a bit small for the box, so it was not making contact with the sides of the box. That shipping block fell off the axle, and the axle-seal had caved in on itself. I got in touch with Amazon and was promptly shipped out a replacement, which thankfully arrived undamaged. That is my only gripe with the product, I wish they had some extra protection over the axle-seal, like a wad of bubble wrap.
Sidenote: The auto-part stores all sell similar parts to this, with one major caveat: each store will provide a slight inconvenience.
– AZ sells it with the axle-seal, but the carrier bearing is not pressed into the housing. No problem if you can find someone to press it for you, but I could not.
– OR sells it with the carrier bearing pre-pressed (like this one), but without the axle seal.
I recommend this axle, because you will save time and money and frustration during the replacement, as opposed to worrying about parts that have to be taken from the old axle and put onto the new axle.
