works great on my old 1985 chevy c20 plow truck,took just a few minutes to change,you can unbolt the three mount bolts and pull it out enough to unbolt the the linkage..there is a ground strap on one of the rubber mounts ,i just pryed it off the old wiper motor where it was riveted ,used a metal screw to reattach to new motor.there is a hole for it.you will reuse your rubber mounts and boot that goes over motor shaft up against firewall to seal hole.its not as bad to change as it sounds.I did it outside in 15 degree weather.

Fits my 86 Chev pickup. Getting the old one off took some time, there is limited access to the linkage, very little space to work in. Be sure you slide off the rubber bushings on the 3 mounting bolts, you will need them to put the new motor back on. I spent about an hour on mine, most of the time was loosening the bolt to the linkage on the old motor. I sprayed it with WD-40 and let it set for awhile, even then it took a lot of force to loosen the nut. Once I got the old motor off, putting the new one in was easy. Cranked up my truck, the wipers worked flawlessly on high and low speed.

WELL WITH NO EXTRA CHARGE FOR OLD CORE AND LESS THAN LOCAL PARTS STORE HERE — I NOW HAVE TWO WIPER MOTORS. BOTH WORKING PROPERLY. THE OLD ONE WAS’NT MY PROBLEM WITH THE WASHER NOT WORKING, MUST BE WASHER PUMP ITSELF.

This Wiper motor was used in a 1991 Chevy V2500 4×4 diesel. It was simple to replace in that I removed three screws (used to hold the motor to the firewall) and one nut (used to connect the wiper assembly to the wiper motor). Very easy and quick job. The wiper motor aligned perfect with the OEM mounts. Took about 20 minutes once I made sure I knew how it would come off and go back on.

Where’s the QC? –
Arrived in a box with damage, and inner wrapper was also damaged. Also arrived late. Did not come with wiper linkage. Instructions state that it is shipped in “home position” – IT IS NOT. After struggling to connect it to the wiper linkage – the shaft did not fit and had to be polished with emery cloth – had to disconnect it and reverse it 180 degrees. The locking tab on the electrical connector for the motor half was bent into the connection slot and cracked, broke off the moment it was touched. Overall more hassle to install than the 3 used motors tested by installation AND deinstallation prior to purchase. Was desperate to get the truck functional or would have returned this POS motor. It works, for how long not sure, hence the 2 star rating. Otherwise would not get so much.

I bought this new wiper motor for my snow plow truck. I had a problem with the old motor being weak (problems I’ve had with other older GM trucks). Now the wipers work like new!
Installation is easy, three bolts to remove the motor from the firewall and then one more to disconnect the linkage. Only took about ten minutes.
The best part is, since installing it, it hasn’t snowed!
