It is very hard to locate a item with all the features. Switchable,,fuseable,, and with indicator light. Everything works great and a added bonus wiring leads attached. Fast shipping/ gr8 quality.,gr8 price

Fits the need I had for a way to connect a portable ice-cooler air conditioner I’m building to the adapter port in my airplane. The on/off switch is especially nice so I don’t have to keep plugging and unplugging it when using it!

The plug and switch are decent – the wire size is very small and will only support low wattage devices. I purchased this plug thinking I could run my (100 Watt) Halogen emergency light, but the gauge of wire is way too small to handle this type of load. The description led me to believe it would work for this application but sadly it will not. However, some may find the capability of this to be perfect for their needs, just don;t expect to run a high-load device.
Family man –
I used this device to attach my gps for my motorcycle. The gps was supposed to be hardwired but I wanted the flexibility to move the gps from one motorcycle to another . This worked well. My only gripe would be the guard wire used in this adapter is a bit lite. Say 20 gauge. It’s not particularly heavy wire. I would have preferred at minimum 16 gauge . Hope this helps .

The item arrived very quickly and works as it should. Only complaints are that it is a “deep socket” plug so it hangs out a decent amount in my cigarette lighter. Also, one of the wires on the circuit board came loose upon installation and I had to disassemble it to resolder it back on. After that though it works as it should to power my led light strips.

I bought this to be used with a back up camera and monitor. It works great to power the setup and to use as a power switch.

I use this to power some LED strip lights on my Motorcycle. Saved having to wire in a weather tight switch. This plugs into an exterior mounted dual outlet. Has been through many a rain storm, exposed directly to the elements, and holds up. It is fused just in case you attempt to overload it. Not certain of the amperage limitations, but for LED lighting you won’t be disappointed. I highly recommend this product.

The wire gauge is small… I didn’t measure but maybe 24AWG? but this is NOT the limiting factor in my experience.
I wired it up to power my LiPo battery charger and noticed the max output the charger could sustain was 1.2A. That is worryingly low. It also started smelling like burnt plastic after a minute. I pulled the plug and noticed the positive contact was quite hot! I disassembled and noticed the spring after the fuse was charred in the center and the plastic surrounding it had melted. The fuse was still in tact though. I don’t know if the spring is making a poor connection, or has really high resistance or something, but that’s not good! This is cheap and unreliable and best, and dangerous at worst. I would never use it without close supervision.
