Literally, the very first time I used this key, it broke in half and all the internal components fell out. I now have a brand new key that’s covered in duct tape and looks like a really old raggedy key not very happy

Getting keys with fobs is a very costly endeavor. As long as you have two working fobs, you can quickly and easily program another one (or two) so you have some on backup. I like to have keys on backup and once in awhile, I do lose my keys, meaning it is good that I have backups. These are extremely economical!! The hardest part is finding someone who will cut the keys for you The first time I got these, Home Depot cut them for free. This last time, they would not, neither would Walmart, and actual key places were quoting me $60 to cut the key. I finally found Ace Hardware would cut them for me for free, since I am not buying their keys, so I got them all cut. The key works great, they are easy to program (but tedious), and now I have working extras. One of the keys I ordered does not work as a FOB, but that is actually okay with me because I can take it with me when security is an issue and I just need a key to get back into my van. If someone stole my key, they could walk around with the FOB until my van reacted, then drive off. I think I might get some more soon, just for backups sake.
UPDATE: I got for FOBs this time and took them to a Dodge dealership to program because the dealership said they could not order blanks. For one service charge ($110), they cut and programmed all four FOBs for me. However, when I programmed them it just programmed the chip; when the dealership programs it, they also program the door and trunk buttons. For the first time in a LONG time, I have full use of my remotes again.

Take to any location that makes keys and you are ready to go – no programming, battery is included – Great product at reasonable price

This are fine keys, they do the job for my 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. All buttons work fine. I used a bi-directional scan tool to do the programming.
There is a procedure in the manual (or look it up online) if you already have two keys, you can program them yourself. If you only have one key (or none) you need a locksmith or a decent bi-directional scan tool that supports your vehicle.
I first purchased aftermarket keys from a popular auction site, and although the transponder worked (key started the car), none of the remote buttons would program. Since I already had the keys cut by a locksmith, I just transferred the electronic guts from these, to the other keys. That worked like a charm, I now have a fully functional remote.
One thing I noticed about these keys, is they don’t have the rubber water resistant seal protecting the insides. My OEM and other aftermarket keys have a rubber seal when you close the two halves together. So I doubt these ones have any water resistance at all. Something to keep in mind if you have a habit of putting your keys through the wash.

I bought this for my sons 2007 Jeep Liberty. I paid $ 30.00 to get these keys cut then programmed them myself. Very easy and cheaper than Mopar. I would buy again.

So much cheaper than going to a locksmith, or god forbid the dealer, to replace a key. I used this on my 2005 Jeep Liberty. Since I still had one working key, I was able to program it myself through the car. Just had to have the key cut. Saved about $150.

These keys work fine when you can get them to work. I was able to program the keys myself, however, I had two keys out of four that didn’t work, but they sent me replacements.

Good price, remotes are great quality. Took them to the local dealer and had them cut and programmed for my 2005 Jeep Liberty. Saved me a lot of money and it’s nice having a key fob again.

I received them per estimated delivery date. Since I only had one original key, I couldn’t program them myself (from everything I’ve read). Since my Grand Caravan is a 2006, I had to go to a Dodge dealership to have them obtain my 4 digit programming code ($11 for my own vehicle’s code!) I then took the two keys to a locksmith who charged me $125 to cut and program them both. He was done in just a few minutes. FYI – if you have a newer Grand Caravan, the locksmith should be able to pick the code up from ‘reading’ your vehicle’s info. Anyway, the keys and all their function work exactly as the original. A very good purchase in my opinion.
