The listing didn’t say it has outside air temperature, so my bad for not noticing it. Using search words like “external” and “outside”, this item shouldn’t even appear in the results. So after looking thorough dozens of choices with outside air temp, I unfortunately didn’t notice this one lacked that capability. Tha was actually the ONLY reason I wanted to buy something like this.
Seems like a very nice unit if you don’t need outside air temp.

The clock on my car is sooooo tiny so my solution was to take the solar powered digital clock from my old car and place it on my new car. It served me well but when it was time to upgrade, I knew I found the perfect replacement with this awesome cool clock. Big numbers, it also tells you the temperature inside the car (which can give you an idea of how warm or cold it is outside) and the date. You can keep it charged with it’s charging cable it comes with or, keep it on your dash and let the sun charge it continuously. I wish it would stay lit up but the backlight (you have the option of a green or blue backlight) will automatically light itself up as soon as it gets dark out and stay on until the sun rises. At red lights I constantly look at the time, mainly because I love the way it looks on the car dashcam, and how BIG the numbers look. While driving all it takes is a quick glance to see the time so your eyes are only off the road for micro seconds. I do wish the date info were bigger but the temp info is large enough to view without problem. Still, it is a 5 star purchase and I’m very happy with it.

Easy to set and adjustable between fahrenheit and celsius as well as 12 hour or 24 hour time, gives accurate time and dash area temperature. Includes time, temperature, humidity and date information. Long lasting button battery with windscreen facing solar panel to keep the battery going (like a calculator). Clever backlighting turns on when it is dark and it senses motion – so it will turn on when you are driving at night but won’t turn on when just parked. Backlight colour is interchangeable between blue and green depending on your preference. Small in size but with large numbers for easy reading. Love it!

Like some other reviews said, the switch to turn on and change color of back light broke after first few toggles. Pretty straightforward with setting the time.

When you turn it off the clock resets.
Wish you could turn the back light off, using in my car and don’t want it on when I’m parked.
Didn’t come with double sided tape or velcro.
I used a screwdriver to change the display settings since it is not worth my time.or hassle. Will see how it works out..I really wanted it to be good since it was also solar powered.
Update.
I give it one more star, the clock has a sleep like function the shuts off when it is not moving? When I got in my car this morning, it turned on. It doesn’t list this in the product documents

I love the back light on it and that it’s user friendly! There are Soo many features on it. I’m a bus driver and it is perfect size and it sits on my dashboard without obstructing any views!

This says it can charge solar and wire. I had the clock charging for a couple days in the sun but it wouldn’t turn on. I then tried plugging it in for a couple days and still would not turn on. I tried different outlets and still nothing. So this was a waste of money

Complete garbage. Arrived with a dead battery. After putting a new battery in it, I was able to set it up. None of the backlight options did anything. Before I could put the unit in my car, it completely reset itself twice. Absolute waste of money.

I bought this clock to sit on the dashboard of my 2001 Camry. Don’t judge me. 🙂 I drive ‘em til they just won’t go anymore. Well, the clock went, and it was cheaper to buy this than fix that. But I wasn’t sure this clock would light up well in the dark. And boy! was I glad when I got in one night and, boop! Flashed right on. So cool. 🙂 Easy to read during full sun, and best of all, it keeps accurate time. That’s all.
