But it depends on how your vents are oriented. I have 2 vehicles, 1 with the vents recessed and 1 with the vents even with the dashboard. The vehicle with the recessed vents the clip can’t get in snug to clip to the vent. It may seem snug at first but after a few bumps it shakes loose and its because the mount can’t get in close enough to fully close it. The vehicle with the vents even with the dash it works great. Locks in and is very sturdy. Based on how it tightens down I question how durable it will be, I will do an update in a few months. But so far with the proper vents it works great. Hopefully someone finds this helpful.

Easy to apply to my air vent. I like the fact that I can slip one half of the fold six phone into the mount and position it where I like to see it so it doesn’t block the infotainment screen on the car. I’m not a fan of sharing my phone with the car so I like to have the full six up in front of me to do my navigation. Works very well

Works with my fold 6 both closed and open.
Easy to attach the charging cable open and closed.
I can use finger recognition in the cradle.
I have read the negative feedback and would say. The grip is very strong and needs a little strength to open it. But if then feels secure. I would imagine people who broke their car vents either put excessive pressure on the vent slat while attaching it or trying to get the phone in the holder.
Would I recommend this. Yes absolutely. Although if you do not have much hand strength then you might find this awkward to use.

Easy to mount.
Sturdy design.
Looks and feels right (good level of materials – would not call them premium, but it’s not cheap plastics)
Rubberized parts in contact with the phone – super ok and it does not leave a mark on the phone.
Easy to install in the vent. Easy to adjust for the right position – sometimes needed while driving to avoid glare in the screen.
It’s pretty well fixed and it does not vibrate/shake with the phone on while driving.
Easy to put the phone in.
I’m using a Samsung Fold 4 on it.
Had to choose between this one (vent mount) and the cd mount one. Glad I’ve picked this one, as the phone, while blocking the vent, it’s kept cool while charging.
I’m glad I purchased this product – I feel it’s well priced for the specs and features it has!

I was in search of something to secure my Galaxy Fold 5 while I was in the car and found it difficult to find an option where it did not include a built-in wireless charger. While this doesn’t have nearly the same finesse, it really does exactly what I wanted it to do… which is hold my phone while open (like a tablet).
It does an excellent job of securing my phone and I just plug it to keep it charged while using it for Android Auto. It’s a perfect and simple solution as this holder isn’t as expensive as other options where it includes wireless charging. If wireless charging could keep up with the pace of battery drain, the I could see the benefits, but until then I’m more the happy with this simple tablet holder that functions perfectly as advertised.

Although the product is sturdy, the first difficulty is that it does NOT adhere to the dash. I did everything per instructions but finally decided that there is insufficient suction created when closing the small handle or switch that is supposed to lock the holder in place (‘pump’ the air out, so to speak). Two days in a row I found it detached from the dash (without ANY phone present), so it obviously took very little weight to pull it off.
The second issue for me (though this might not apply to every type of phone) is that the arms which retract to allow placement of an open Z Fold are ‘fiercely’ spring loaded. By that I mean it is a bit challenging even to pull them apart, and would be hard for most people to do one handed while using the other hand to place the open phone on the cradle. The tension is so great in fact that I wonder if it is really good for the phone itself to be so firmly squeezed. Yes, it’s important for the arms on either side to have a reasonably firm grip on the phone so it doesn’t fall out of the cradle, but in this case, the grip strikes me as excessive, hard to hold open long enough to place your device, and pressing hard on the sides particularly where the buttons are located

The holder comes in 2, easy to put together pieces. Took under 10 seconds. My air vents weren’t strong enough to hold my phone in the holder and broke. But the product itself works good. Feels well made. Stretches to hold my fold 6 easily. Again, just make sure your vent is strong enough
