When you are able to finally get the clay bars out of the plastic wrapper you lose 1/3 of the bar, the plastic they come in is cheap and the material is so stuck to it, that you have to literally cut the product away, other than that it works like this system should work, just don’t like giving up product I paid for.

I originally bought a Chemical Guys clay bar kit to detail my Jeep Cherokee. I worked fine but was expensive. I wanted to detail our Subaru Outback but the bar got contaminated so I opted for this kit. It’s much less expensive, does a good job of cleaning the paint surfaces and you get multiple tablets to make up more than enough lubricant spray. The car was incredibly smooth when I finished and looked fantastic after a finish coat of 303 graphene nano spray. Wish I’d done this on all my cars over the past decade!

Im painting a 2006 Saturn Ion 3 with single stage acrylic enamel per panel removed from the car to do crack repair on all the panels that need it. One thing i didnt even think of was overspray and it got pleanty the paint felt like sandpaper but the gun sprays very smooth. Dont get me wrong with that much overspray on the paint i had to earn the removal and some places i had to wipe it down 2 times and in some places the overspray actually started rolling up in balls the front bumper was the worst but the roughness is now gone and the bar has no sound rubbing accross the paint. Ive only painted 3 cars in my lifetime so yes the overspray was a rookie mistake but this saved me from having to wetsand the car down prematurely. Ide rather not do the wetsand and polish till next summer. In the meantime its useing a product that does UV protect and shine.

So I was attracted to the low price, but unfortunately you get what you pay for.
The Clay is very tacky.. stuck to everything I set it down on.. Used it as described with lots of lube! After rinsing it looked like i just used 1000 grit sand paper all over my new tahoe…Thank God I just bought a polisher and some 1 step polisher. Took six hours to buff out all the marring and scratches from the Clay! Would not recommend..I’ve used maguire before with way better results!

You would spend a small fortune buying this amount of clay bars, spray lube, and a high quality microfiber cloth at a local parts store.
The towel is very nice, bottle is good, clay does what it’s supposed to (hard to remove from plastic though). Overall you cannot beat it for the price.

These clay bars do their job – if your car has deep crusty stains this will be the ticket for removal!! The clay itself is super sticky and I doubt I’ll get another use out of it, but for the spots I needed treated it was worth the value and easy to use.
