Replaced the beater truck 12v socket with this and ran into no issues or problems. Pulled the old one, plugged in this one and off I went. Doesn’t bother me that I can’t use a cigarette lighter plug since that’s not what this is used for in my application. Zero complaints and 100% recommended.

I replaced the original cigarette lighter in my 1979 Camaro with this. It fits and looks fine.
