    Fantastic device

Everything in me said “self, dont get your hopes up. Its probably garbage”.

For sure the packaging and design reinforce the garbage premonition – but this is a book to not judge by its cover.
Super easy install in my 05 Honda Odyssey and works flawlessly – even the call quality with the mic is great (I mounted it behind the steering wheel in front of the speedometer).
this is an easy DIY install. Just watch a you tube video on how to remove the car receiver – it seems scary, but there are only 3 screws and some trim that pops off with a little elbow grease

Get a cheep y adapter for the back of the car radio, you need one if you have the DVD player installed.

Steering wheel buttons all work perfectly.
    Phone auto connects to it.
Calls are clear on both ends.
Audio is fantastic – and I’m picky.
All controls are from the stock radio – no little buttons to push on the device itself, just install it and forget it exists.
It powers on and off with the radio – you would never know it was a separate device if you didn’t install it yourself – flawless integration with the stock system.

Its only happened once, but the car receiver stopped recognizing the Bluetooth device. Turning the car off and then back on fixed the problem, though Turning the radio on and off did not.
I feel its more of a receiver issue than a device issue though – probably because of the y adapter I’m using – The phone connection to the Bluetooth device has never been a problem.

Side notes: On install, test before you screw everything back in, the wiring harness on an 05 odyssey is old and loose. I had to adjust and wiggle the harness a few times to get a good connection – I was only getting one channel of audio at first. It’s easy to assume the problem is with the crappy looking Bluetooth device.

I drilled a hole in the small compartment just above the cup holders for the wire to run through, and keep the Bluetooth receiver in there for access. there are plenty of options to place the device in other spaces – though I dont think the wire would reach all the way down to the lower ashtray by the power outlets without an extension. You could even leave it behind the dash or under the steering column next to the obdII port (or upper glove box for sure) .
There are no buttons on the device that need to be pushed for operation (it powers on and off with the car, it draws power from the radio) – you can hide the device anywhere in the dash and run extension cords for the aux port (not needed to function), or the usb port (only needed to play mp3 files).

The USB thingy is just a multi sd card reader if you want to go old school and load mp3s on to a card. it will play them from the card reader – functionally, its just like an old school mp3 player, the car receiver acts like its a cd ( shows which track is being played by number – no ID3 tags just track numbers) I have not tested the usb port for charging a phone or playing mp3 files off of the phone directly.

I would absolutely buy it again, recommend it to anyone, get as a gift for someone who just bought a used 05 Odyssey.

It’s great someone came up with this adapter to use Bluetooth connectivity to the original car audio easy to install and the audio quality is better than the standard AUX input.
The one downside is sometimes the audio system doesn’t recognize the adapter when starting the car which becomes a pain having to turn off and start the car to re boot it

Overall 4-5 stars. 4 stars because the instructions are not clear where to connect the pin connector and the unit is not marked if Bluetooth is included on the actual device. I have the DVD feature with my radio and would need the Y-Adapter cable if I wanted to continue to use the DVD player. My kids are grown so I didn’t bother with it. I placed the microphone near the left side of the radio above the gear shift. (See pic). It just pinched it between the radio and dash and it was easy to keep it aimed straight toward the driver position. 4 stars because they should have included a USB extension cable. Their thought was to place this in the glove compartment but it is easier to hide it behind the pocket space behind the AC controls (See pic). I drilled a small hole to pass the AUX cable connector to use for my old iPod. When placing the dash back together none of the cables get pinched in that pocket space. I don’t have long conversations using any external mics because of road noise. So the included MIC does just fine for short calls. I usually use my Airpods Pro for serious calls. It does not reconnect when you turn off Bluetooth from the phone. You have to wait until you restart the car for it to reconnect. This is a rare event so that doesn’t bother me. I usually use Bluetooth all the time anyways. You can’t switch back and forth between Bluetooth and AUX because of this. 5 stars because the steering controls for skipping tracks up and down still work as does volume control. Overall 5 stars because of price, ease of install, and it does Bluetooth just fine with no sound quality loss.

This is just the initial review. I’ll update this after I have used it for awhile.

***Follow up after a couple weeks of use:. The unit does work very well in everyday use. The Bluetooth connects very fast after I start the car. I changed my rating to 5 stars because it’s sound quality is great; the Bluetooth works flawlessly. Plus it does reconnect if you switch off Bluetooth or you go from Airpods back to the stereo Bluetooth unit. Someone said in their review that they have to turn the car off to get it to reconnect. This did not happen to me once. Lastly, the mic position probably affects your it sounds. The position I chose by the gear shifter allows the mic to pickup my voice very clearly. No one complained about the call quality during driving. I still feel they should have included an USB extension but it’s a small quibble. Hope this helps.

Installed on 2011 Accord. It pairs smoothly and automatically. Sound quality is very good.

Install is easy. We have OEM stereo without CD changer. Just take off the center console cover, dash trim, radio panel which I watched on Youtube. This adapter plugs right into the CD changer slot on the middle lower rear of the radio. Remember, you must push the CD button twice to access the CD changer menu and this is where you can listen to your bluetooth. I plugged the microphone where the microphone vent is, located on the silver trim piece between the steering wheel and the radio. However, the voice was not picked up as loudly on a phone call.

This device transformed the OEM radio into a bluetooth capable device with bluetooth calling. I can stream Spotify and take phone calls.
