These terminals look exactly like the original terminals on my 1997 Camry. The old original terminals could not be fully tightened, as evidenced by the alarm going on randomly, usually in a parking lot at the most inconvenient time requiring me to pull out the instructions on resetting the alarm and tighten the terminals. I used a jack-leg solution of driving a #10 sheet metal screw down between each battery post and terminal. That solved the problem.
But, I shouldn’t have had to use the screw trick. Upon installing a new battery, I decided to also install new terminals. These look exactly like the old terminals, but I assumed these should tighten correctly. I installed the new battery and these new terminals. I reset the alarm and as soon as I tried to crank the car, the alarm went off. I removed the terminals and reinstalled them, making sure to push them down all the way, and tightened until they could tighten no further. The alarm went off again. Upon inspection, I found that I could pop the terminal off the battery post with my fingers with only a little tug (see video).
This was a brand new name-brand battery, no terminals had been previously installed, and no anti-corrosion washers were used. As you can see in my attached video, the terminal is tightened to the point that the two sides of the terminal meet and cannot be tightened further. I do not understand why terminals of this common design do not have at least a little allowance for additional tightening. I showed these to my auto shop owner friend and he said he never uses this type. He advised me to buy marine terminals, which I did, and finally the battery connections are absolutely solid.

Tese are extreemly thin cheap material. Once you do get them clamped and tightened that is it. Hope you never need to do it again.

A little “light” in the metal but worked great on a Polaris Ranger battery.
